JUNE 1993

TRISTIN SAT IN HIS DAMP RAIN COAT, HIS HOOD UP IN THE GLOOMY PUB OF THE LEAKY CAULDRON. A cup of coffee in his hands to keep him warm, he waited for his best mate Alfie to show up. He needed his help.

Alfie slid into the booth his umbrella dripping water onto his pristine black shoes, Tristin could see the small water droplets on his black suit jacket. "You have to dress like this now?" Tristin asked with a smirk quite amused

Alfie's eyes narrowed "Father thinks I should look more presentable in public outings" he sighed pushing hair back with his hand "Where's El and Cassidy? I'm surprised they're late" Alfie checked his watch frowning

Tristin shifted in his seat "I didn't tell them to come", he watched as Alfie's face turned serious "Why?"

Tristin's hand clutched his mug tighter, "I need a favor and I don't want the girls to know about it just yet. Not until I know for sure"

Alfie relaxed in his seat taking a breath "Go on." he sniffed.

Tristin leaned closer in to whisper "My mother told me more about my father, I went to the ministry to dig up some kind of file on him but there's nothing. She forgot to add that he's a french man meaning his records won't be within our Ministry. And in your last letter you said you were heading to France, I would go myself but money is tight"

Alfie listened as Tristin talked, he knew that Tristin wanted nothing more than to know who his father truly was. Tristin knew no information on his transformations into a wolf every full moon and wanted help in order to deal with it.

"I just want to know if he's alive and where he is, I can't deal with these transformations on my own. I can't just ask anyone because we are looked down upon and scare anyone in our path. My mother is a muggle, she doesn't know much about any of this'

Alfie lifted his palm up so Tristin would stop his rant "It's okay Tristin I'll help. I'm sure with my family name I would be able to get the information you seek without a problem. What was his name?"

Tristin nodded finally feeling relaxed and comfortable in his seat, he isn't sure why he was nervous to ask Alfie to do this for him but now that he go the answer he wanted he was able to rest. "Cassius Thorne"

Alfie nodded, stepping out the booth. Tristin along with him"I'll find whatever I can and I'll let you know. Though it may take awhile, I will wait till school starts to tell you what I find. I wouldn't want that information flying across Europe and get lost" Alfie lied

Alfie would wait because the Malfoy's were accompanying them to France and nosy Draco Malfoy would be there. Alfie had to protect Tristin's secret with his life, knowing that Tristin turned into a wolf at every full moon could get Tristin expelled from school if exposed by the right people.

"That's not a problem, your right" Tristin agreed.

Alfie nodded "See you soon" he said as he disappeared from the pub.

PRESENT DAY

"You found my father didn't you?" Tristin asked stepping away from the door awaiting the news he was longing to hear

Alfie face showed solemn, his eyes didn't meet his as he stared down at his shoes, he licked his lips and looked up "Cassius Blakesley, A Beaubaxton's student, he was an ordinary Ministry Worker in the French Ministry, he was attacked by a werewolf when he was teenager, he lived in London around the time for you to be conceived and then left back to France"

"Was?" Tristin asked, Alfie breathed out and sniffed he struggled to get the information out almost wanting to bite his tongue at the news that was about to spill from his mouth "He was then killed during a full moon by a muggle with a shotgun, hunting" Alfie finished waiting for Tristin's reaction. He wasn't sure how the boy would react, but at least now he knew the truth and no longer had to go search any further.

Tristin mind was bouncing at this information, it wasn't the news he wanted to hear but at least he knew something. At least now he wouldn't have to wait around for his father to show up out of the blue. He felt sorrow for his mother, whose heart longed for the man who swept her off her feet and was waiting for him to come back to her and his only son.

"I'm sorry Tristin, I know its not what you wanted to hear-" Alfie started but Tristin raised his hand as a motion to stop "Its okay, come on we should get to class" he mentions opening the door as he stalked forward for potions class something he wasn't looking forward to but did anyways, shortly Alfie stalked behind him asking no further questions.

//

Cassidy and Eleanor walked side by side, nearing their first class "Should we had tried to look for them? Alfie looked really upset" I asked Cassidy who seemed to have a sour look displayed on her features, she was also worried for Alfie Burke, a boy who seemed she cared for and perhaps even loved.

"No Tristin can handle him though" she waved off not wanting her to worry any further, her eyes looked forwards as they walked to their first class of the year, students were climbing up and down the stairs in a hurry, not wanting their house pints docked or earn themselves a detention so early within the year

Eleanor shoulder crashed into someone making her hurl forward, her leg almost going through the false step, her head almost meeting the stair case as she felt a pair of arms grab her waist to halt her fall. Her hands displayed forward in front of her latching onto the step. She looked to her waist seeing the pale hand circling her waist into the green eyes, and unruly brown hair that couldn't stay flat even if you had used a whole bottle of Sleakeazy's Hair Potion.

"You okay?" the scarred boy asked her. ELeanor felt like a frog was lodged in her throat so she nodded her head as he let go of her waist and a awkward smile graced his features as he stepped around her the red headed boy following closely behind who looked back at her and shook his head "Slytherins, clumsy lot" he muttered under his breath.

Cassidy who watched the whole thing unfold almost couldn't contain her laughter "Stop it" eleanor muttered at her "Did the Harry Potter just save you from a false step? never thought I would see a Gryffindor save a Slytherin" she giggles

"Shut up Cass" Eleanor only said as she walked swiftly careful to not miss any steps.

* ˚ ✦* ˚ ✦* ˚ ✦

Eleanor sat next to Tristin upon entering the potions classroom, she set her books down with a huff, as blank expression was plastered on Tristin face as he stared into nothing, she looked towards Alfie who seemed to be okay.

She tapped Tristin's shoulder, his gaze now focused on her "Are you alright?" I asked him, he licked his lips as he breathed in nodding his head "Yeah I'm fine, Alfie is too. Just tightly winded up because of Malfoy, but he'll get over it" his tongue clicked

Eleanor nodded her eyes moving away from his and looking around the classroom, seeing the various Gryffindors in the classroom along with her Slytherin housemates. Her eyes stopped at Potter, Weasley and Granger sitting together. That was the first time she ever spoke to Harry Potter or the fact that he even acknowledged her presence and she was utterly mortified that she could barely string a word together.

He knew nothing about her, but she knew everything there is to know about him.
