OFFICIAL COURT TRANSCRIPT
CASE NUMBER: 954280
Judge: Abigail, do you swear to tell only the truth and the whole truth?
Telao: I swear.
Stacy: is it true that you posted a blog indicating you murdered someone on the night in question?
Telao: it's true that there is a post indicating that on my blog.
Stacy: did you post it?
Telao: it was a joke.
Stacy: how could you joke about someone being murdered?
Telao: murdered doesn't always mean that someone died.
Stacy: please enlighten me. What else could it possibly mean?
Talia: objection.
Judge: relevance, Stacy.
Stacy: if Abigail claims that murdered means something else, I think it's appropriate that she tells us what else it means. She does have a blog post saying she murdered someone.
Judge: very well, Abigail, please answer the question.
Telao: it simply means that the kid got what he deserved. I was at a party that night. There were a bunch of drunken idiots there. A fight broke out which led me to go home.
Stacy: that'll be all.
Judge: Talia, do you have anyone else you'd like to call to the stand?
Talia: yes, actually, id like to call Abigail's friend Sean to the stand.
Stacy: why didn't we know about him earlier?
Judge: Talia?
Talia: we just recently found out he was at the party with Abigail.
Judge: please continue.
[silence]
Judge: Sean, do you swear to tell only the truth and the whole truth?
Sean: I swear.
Talia: Sean, isn't it true that you were with Abigail the night of the party?
Sean: yes, I picked her up at the beach and we went to the party together.
Talia: and what happened next Sean?
Sean: I went to get us drinks and heard a fight had broke out. I went looking for Abby to make sure she was okay, and I saw her walking out of the front door and I followed after her.
Talia: and who was apart of the fight?
Sean: Connor and some other kid I didn't know.
Talia: so you and Abigail left before the fight had been broken up?
Sean: yes. I had dropped Abby off at her apartment and then I went home.
Talia: thank you Sean. Jury, please note that the suspect was gone before Connor had gone missing. Her phone record shows that her phone had been used before and after the time of death indicating that Abby was home during the time of the murder.
Judge: is that all Talia?
Talia: yes, I'm done.
Judge: Stacy, any other witnesses?
Stacy: no sir.
Judge: great. Jury, please be dismissed to analyze the evidence you have been shown. Court will go on a break until the jury is done. Please do not leave the premises.
BREAK
Judge: welcome back. The jury will be just another minute. Please sit right as we wait for their findings.
[silence]
Judge: jury, have you come to a decision?
Jury: yes sir. We find Abigail Telao not guilty for the murder of Connor Lenoway. There is simply not enough evidence linking Abigail to the crime.
Judge: very well. Court is adjourned.
