Sean had decided to stay the night. It didn't take him long before he was passed out and snoring. I don't know how he ever got sleep. He snored so loud, and he basically choked on his spit every five minutes. Guess I wasn't going to be getting any sleep that night. I laid in bed, staring up at the ceiling. A noise caught my attention. It was vibration of some sort, but I couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from. I sat up, looking around thinking maybe it was my phone. I looked over at the night stand to see my cell phone was still there and silent. I got out carefully, making sure not to wake Sean. I walked to his side of the bed, and the vibration got louder. I could see the light shining through his pants. I carefully pulled out his phone seeing he had a few missed messages. I stared at the phone wondering how wrong it would be of me to look at these and see who his mysterious old friend was. I thought about it for a couple more minutes before hitting the read button.

Talia- hey baby. How's everything going? I know you're at Abby's, but I just wanted to check in.

Talia- Sean? I haven't heard from you. How's it going?

Talia- babe, I'm worried. Are you sleeping with her? I think we're going to have to have a chat.

I stared at the messages, my jaw dropping nearly to the floor. What the actual fuck? I threw Sean's phone at him, running out of the bedroom.

"Abby? What the hell was that for!?" Sean said, as he squinted, looking at his phone. "Fuck," he said to himself. He slowly pulled himself out of bed, heading towards the livingroom.
"Abby, can we talk about this?" Abby sat on the couch, tears streaming down her face.
"Talk about what? How you're fucking my lawyer? How you're just using me? Fuck off!" She screamed, throwing a pillow at him.
"It's not what you think."
"Then what is it? Fucking enlighten me, Sean. Those messages make it seem like that."
"I'm gonna go. I'll let you calm down, and then we can talk about it, okay?"
"I don't know if I ever want to talk to you again." He stared at her, hurt building in his eyes.
"Abigail, listen to me. You need to process whatever you think you just saw. I will text you in a few days and we'll talk." Sean walked out of the apartment.

I pulled out my phone, staring at the home screen. I wasn't sure what I was going to do, but I knew I had to do something.

Abby- Talia, what's going on with you and Sean?

Talia finally answered after what seemed like forever.

Talia- you saw the messages?

Abby- you're damn right I did. Now tell me what's going on right now. You know how I feel about him.

Talia- I'm doing it for you, Abby. I'm trying to show you who this guy really is.

Abby- you're going to have to show me more than those few messages to make me believe he's actually with you.

Talia- I'm not trying to hurt you, Abby. I'm helping you control your urge.

Abby- are you telling me Sean was just a set up this whole time? That you ha planned for him to ask for my number and shit?

Talia- yeah, but I didn't realize he would get feelings for you. He does care about you, Abby. I've known Sean for a long time.

Abby- but you don't want him to sleep with me?

Talia- you hurt every man you sleep with. I'm protecting you both.

Abby- it's different with him. I don't feel the urge.

I threw my phone across the room. I couldn't believe what she was telling me. She set it all up. How do I know if Sean actually has feelings for me or not? I knew I wasn't going to hurt him. Sean was right. I did need a few days to process this before I tried to talk to him. I might have killed him tonight if he didn't leave; I was that furious with him.

What a twist right!? What do you think of Talia? Do you think she's really trying to protect them, or so you think it's something more than that!?
