SCATTERED WAVES (COMPLETED)

CHAPTER 21

"Ito na 'yong pinapahanap mo Ms. Rhodes." Nilapag ni Fritz ang laptop sa table, patuloy naman ang pagkalkal ko sa bag para hanapin ang cellphone ko. "Andyan na rin 'yong mga files na kailangan mo e-review." Tinanguan ko lang sya.

Nasaan nanaman ba 'yon? "Have you seen my phone?"

"Tumambay po kayo sa counter kanina, baka nandun. Hahanapin ko po." Napabuntong-hininga ako at pinanuod syang umalis.

Sumandal ako sa swivel chair at napahawak sa sentido, I stare at the slideshow from my laptop screen before closing it down. I'm back here in the Philippines few days ago, wala na ako sa Primavera. I'm at my main office away from the resort.

"Damn." Muli kong binuksan ang laptop at nagscroll sa concept plan, I still have to meet the event organizers to give my opinions.

There will be an event at Primavera few weeks from now, its a wedding anniversary of Chairman and Chairwoman Rhodes, instead of celebrating it outside the country mas pinili nilang dito iganap ang selebrasyon. Its a tradition, it happens every year. Its the biggest event of Rhodes Group of Companies, aside from their marriage anniversary, it's also the 105th foundation day of Rhodes group. Everyone is looking forward to it.

"Found your phone, Ms!" Bumukas ang pintuan at pumasok muli si Fritz, winagayway niya ang phone ko bago binigay saakin. "And your cup of frappe."

Tipid akong ngumiti, "Did you answer one of my calls?" Napakunot ang noo ko ng makita ang mga missed calls at unread messages. I sipped at my drink before glancing Fritz with his cheap looking attire. 

"Yes po, I told Mr. Hamilton to call later since your phone's not with you yet." Napakamot sya sa batok, "Dapat po ba d ko ginawa? Sorry Ms."

"Nah, its okay." My forehead wrinkles as I look at Fritz from head to shoes, "Ang sakit sa mata ng attire mo." Ngumiti sya ng pilit at muling nagkamot sa batok, he's wearing a red necktie on his white long sleeve polo tacked in with his above the knee slacks short. His shoes is damn brown boots, idagdag mo pa ang nerdy eyeglasses nito.

Napailing ako at hinigit ang bag, "I can't get used of this." Tumayo ako at tinuro sya, "Lets go shopping. Ang laki ng sweldo mo hindi ka man lang ba nagresearch kung paano dapat magbihis?"

Nakasunod lang sya saakin habang palabas kami ng Moonstar, hindi ko pinansin ang mga bumati. Marami nanamang tumatambay sa cafè, nagpapanggap lang 'yong iba na nag-aaral kahit nakikiwifi lang naman.

"Nagsearch ho, ito 'yong nakikita ko sa google eh." Napangiwi nalang ako, pinatunog ko ang sasakyan at binigay sakanya ang susi, I opened the frontseat and he moved to the driver's seat.

"That's sickening. Lets go to Wolves shopping mall." Hindi na sya nagsalita at tahimik na nagdrive.

I feel so exhausted just thinking about my schedule, I have few events to attend this week, since my parents are out of the country they made me the representative. Quite annoying but as if I have other choices.

Sabay-sabay na naglinyahan ang mga saleslady pagkakita saakin, they bowed their heads down while some are clearing the passage inside the mall.

The manager immediately approach when she saw me, "Good noon Miss Rhodes, you should've called that you're visiting."

Tinanggal ko ang sunglasses at tinapon sa sahig, "Are you saying kasalanan ko?" Tinaasan ko sya ng kilay, agad namang lumapit ang isang saleslady upang kunin ang tinapon kong sunglass at binigay kay Fritz. "Close the damn mall." I commanded full of authority before walking with my head high.
