chapter 13~ broken promise

screaming it, everyone stiffened in every place in disbelief at Kisaki's declare. all of them turned their full attention to the three figures above the car with unsettled hearts. they saw the body of the older unconscious with her arms wrapped around Baji's neck, even a twitch of her finger didn't move. Baji holding Takemichi in his arms with his face was on the crook of her neck, hiding his emotional expression but his muffled cries could still be heard, his painful and very emotional screams echoed all over the place causing everyone to be even more unable to move for fear what Kisaki stated might be true

Chifuyu who was so close to the scene where Kazutora stabbed Takemichi, couldn't help but cry in bitterness, he doesn't know why Takemichi still had to trade her life just to save someone, Baji has already said that he needs to watch over and protect Takemichi so that she doesn't get involved in this matter, he wants him to be the only one to act on his plan, to end it all and save the older from Kisaki. even though he knew it would be challenging for him to be alone against all the third division knowing he could be killed, he did everything he could for this right time to kill Kisaki

but seeing Takemichi sacrifice her life for Baji, everyone remembered that Takemichi also offered her life for Ken, though she was not part of Touman and just a girl who was too nerdy and innocent join the dangerous gang. but sacrificing her life for someone else? maybe this is the heartbreaking scene they saw. they'll not accept if Takemichi dies at this time, she almost died then after she pushed Ken from Kiyomasa, she went to the hospital during cardiac arrest with her pulse no longer working, her operation took so long that others thought the operation wasn't successful

thinking about this, who wouldn't be furious and emotional if someone like Takemichi sacrificed her own life for others? who wouldn't be hurt if at this time you see the older die in front of many people? in the very battle between Valhalla and Touman, who wouldn't cry if the older dies on the same day of the two gang's feud? 

Takemichi was just a normal girl who can still achieve many dreams, she's a ray of sunshine who can make other people happy with just her smile that they can also fall for her, she can make everything comfortable, she can solve everything as quietly as possible without using violence, she always helps other people than herself. she would do anything for her friends just to save them

so who can explain if a girl like Takemichi would die in this emotional way? in front of everyone who has a smile on her lip that can't be dismissed, even one, who can explain to them why the older has to die this way just for someone else?

"T-Takemichi" staring at the older not far from them, Ken's eyes began to water

"I wish I could marry you as I said before" Baji's voice trembled, gazing into the older's closed eyes for a few seconds, he brought his face closer to Takemichi's

"I hope I can propose to you before I die, but damn, I think this is where it all ends" chuckling Baji kissed the older's soft lip "I'm sorry if I can't keep my promise to you, Take-san"

for a few seconds he kissed Takemichi on the lips, numerous memories came back to Baji's mind one after another, where there were many flashbacks when he was young, the silly things he did then, the laughs he could hear, his voice shouting at each memory he gets into fights with his classmates, and a memory where he was with the older. recollecting each of these memories, Baji couldn't help but laugh, even though it was painful for him he would have liked to be with the older for a long time
