chapter 16~ promises

Author~chan's POV~

"Take-san" 

"I'm so sorry"

"Please, promise me" 

"TAKE-SAN!" 

voices that rang in Takemichi's ears, every shout and call to her name. voices familiar to her awaken her to her deep slumber. her fluttering eyes in astonishment looked at her dark surroundings, too dark and cold. no light can help her see her surroundings, not knowing where she is or where the younger is—remembering that they need to escape lately. but their sight was obscured by black, she knew what she feared would happen. after she returns to this future and sees Chifuyu and Hanma in the same building. also, Naoto lost contact with her in a flash, there was something in Takemichi's chest that said she had to go back before everything got worse, though she didn't listen to her feelings. she guessed from the beginning that there was something wrong with the result of her mission.

her chest tightened if she would try to remember what her mission had been. Kisaki and Hanma first entered her mind, when they became official members of Touman, and all members have strong trust in Kisaki after what happened on bloody Halloween. after she leaves the past and returns to the future. she immediately regretted her decision to return. she left Kisaki and Hanma with Touman doing nothing, even though she was already the leader of the first division and Chifuyu will always be by her side to help. that was not enough to oust the two. that wouldn't be enough to break everyone's trust in Kisaki as well

perhaps because of this, Chifuyu's life could be in danger. the meeting that happened earlier also didn't run smoothly after the argument between Chifuyu and everyone. seeing that Hanma's expression fell into a cold. she knew he wanted to kill Chifuyu in front of her but just couldn't. leaving that meeting room with the younger. her conclusion about Hanma and Kisaki being able to join forces to kill Chifuyu. this time, they can no longer control their anger towards Chifuyu to the point that they can kill him in front of her. 

Takemichi's breath became rough, her mind filled with Chifuyu's face full of blood. Kisaki and Hanma shot him multiple times non-stop, laughing like maniacs. even if it was just an imagination, Takemichi couldn't stop herself from drowning in depression. she couldn't bear to see the younger lying in his blood, she didn't want him to be like Baji who died next to her, and the more she could no longer afford to lose someone very important to her.

she promised, she promised she would save everyone as much as she could. even if someone had already died in front of her. she will not allow anyone else to die again, if she had to sacrifice her life for Chifuyu, she would not hesitate to do so again

"C..Chifuyu-kun!" Takemichi tried to shout out loud even though her breath was broken. she tried to move her body but the rope tied to her restrained her. Takemichi became anxious. even with the rope around her the whole time she didn't feel, nervous that something bad might have happened to the younger.

not long after, because of her shouting and calling Chifuyu's name. not far from her she heard the creak of the door and steps tapping against the floor. towards her that there is a heavy atmosphere and a feeling of something punching in her gut, she began to think deeply, where are they? who entered? is it Kisaki? or Hanma? not knowing who it was, Takemichi's attention returned to reality when she felt a loud 'THUD' coming from in front of her, like a sack of rice just thrown away. 

a few seconds passed, no one spoke nor made noise around the older. cause Takemichi's fear and nervousness only got worse. the hard floor on which Takemichi was sitting grew cold, she remained sitting there with her lip trembling and wanting to speak
