chapter 22~ First encounter

"I'm so pissed" Takemichi took a deep breath, she dropped her whole body on the nearby bench in the area. her eyes peeking up at the shady sky

the gathering she did that she thought would run smoothly was suddenly ruined. after she and Ken fought again because of her reckless goal to save Hakkai. she felt deja vu, comprehending that this is what happened on August 3rd that got to the point Ken nearly died due to Takemichi's pointless sulking, the memories of what happened that day flashed before her eyes. it gives her heartache every second she thinks of Ken, wondering if she hadn't saved Ken at the right time, would all she worked so hard for would end up like this? where everything was fine, except for Baji whom she can't save, if she hadn't pushed Ken and taken that stab, does she think she and Ken would still have this kind of argument? of course not, if not for her careless thinking and movements perhaps at these times she would have been completely mentally damaged

she loved Ken with all her heart, though it had become her habit to always have an argument developing between them. Takemichi doesn't understand why they're arguing over small things, there's still time she and Ken got into a fight about carrying two plastic grocery bags. since it was Sunday and Takemichi used to buy her necessities when a week passed, she always went with Hinata to buy groceries but she was unfortunate because Hinata was doing something important that day. she decided to shop alone at the nearby mall, where she didn't assume she would catch Mikey and Ken buying waffles eyeing her as if they had been there waiting for the older to notice them

Takemichi was helpless at the time so she included the two in her shopping, though she comprehended Mikey was the type to put his favorite foods in the pushcart without her noticing. after they go shopping for two hours thanks to Mikey's crying who wants to buy a pack of dorayaki which is expensive for Takemichi, Ken joined in stating that he would carry the grocery bags for her, Takemichi instantly refused since the two bags she was holding were not heavy. Ken denied and insisted on taking it from Takemichi. until they start quarreling in the middle of the crowd with Mikey who doesn't care but hugs the pack of dorayaki bought from him by the older.

Chifuyu couldn't believe how Takemichi put up with their president and vice-president at the same time, even though it could be seen earlier that the older kept snapping in rage and her patience was quickly running out. that's the first time he witnesses Takemichi being so angry and destroying things she sees, he'll confess Takemichi is scary when she's in the period and one of them doesn't dare to make a mistake

the older wouldn't be like that if Ken chose the words he would convey. learning what position Takemichi had entered why she kept trying to save Hakkai, although everyone already knew that they had a truce made with Taiju and that meant they were forbidden to destroy it, he knows Takemichi, after what she states that she has the ability to time leap and about what's happening in the future reason that she was more determined to save everyone

he would admit that he was scared, listening to every story Takemichi went through in the future. the Touman who became a black organization with Mikey and Kisaki as its commander, Ken, their vice-president was imprisoned after he killed people, Pah, Pehyan, and Mitsuya also died while the other remaining members are still unknown what occurred to them, lastly him, he died after Kisaki shot him in the head and left Takemichi in their hands

he's not afraid to die, he's not afraid Kisaki will shoot him in the head again a few times, and even more, he doesn't care if he dies in the future. there was only one thing he feared and that was to leave Takemichi alone to herself

Chifuyu doesn't know how much Takemichi endured such a cruel future, he didn't know how long Takemichi had fought alone, he doesn't know how many tears Takemichi shed every time she sees someone dying in front of her, he doesn't know how clangorous she shouts and screams to god to hear her every prayer, even one he knew nothing but catch the determination in her fluttering blue eyes as if she had gone through nothing, she doesn't show how much pain she feels deep in her chest, she doesn't show her tears, she doesn't rest even though she knows in herself that she's tired, she goes on, she goes on her mission to save everyone so that they have of one's promising future
