Author~chan's POV~
"Hanagaki-san?"
Takemichi stopped wandering when she heard someone mention her name as she recovered from her back, which was only meters away. her ocean eyes fluttered through as the sun reflected on them, clearly with a wondering expression on her beautiful face, Takemichi noticed a middle-aged man wearing a suit with glasses in his eyes, his face is full of seriousness, Takemichi considers it bears a resemblance to Naoto
"nice to meet you Hanagaki-san, I'm Naoto's father" the middle-aged man smiled, he held out his right hand in front of Takemichi "I'm Masato Tachibana"
panic slowly swallowed Takemichi, she remained standing there in disbelief, seeing her girlfriend's father whom she had not seen for a long time unexpectedly appear in front of her who now released one of his hands to give her a handshake. Takemichi couldn't control the anxiety and happiness that was forming in her chest, she unhurriedly accepted Masato's hand with an awkward smile on her lips, trying to restrain herself from releasing her embarrassing feelings
"I never thought we would meet here by chance, please forgive my rudeness" Takemichi bowed a perfect 90 degrees to the middle-aged man
"oh no, It's okay, I should be the one to apologize since I bothered you" Masato gave an awkward laugh, scratching his neck at the same time "can you spare your time for a coffee? I just have something to discuss with you"
"s.. sure" Takemichi smiled
Takemichi followed the middle-aged man back to the city, she stayed behind him the whole time they walked, still not having the courage to talk to her girlfriend's father after they exchanged uncomfortable introductions. now thinking that it was the first time she saw Masato although she had been Hinata's girlfriend for a long time, she recalled that Hinata said that her father was a police officer. since her job was very problematic and as a police officer, it was their job to help people and catch criminals, meaning he rarely went home and provided enough time to his family, one of the reasons why Naoto was so furious at his dad and grew up despising his job. but comprehending in the future that Naoto becomes a successful police officer, Takemichi wondered what had changed that boy?
Naoto is the typical stubborn kid and always displays his harsh side and even her can't escape from his potty mouth, on the other hand, his father was calm and gentle in everything that Takemichi believes he has a lot of patience to wait for Naoto's hatred to subside even though his son has been pushing him away from the beginning. they have much in common except in their attitudes, it will be noticed that Hinata didn't get any resemblance from Masato but only Naoto. Hinata even mentioned to her that she was not very close to her father because of their one-time argument, so grateful that she hadn't acquired even a resemblance from her father, giving Takemichi a shiver down to her spine as she sees her girlfriend's face darken every time they talk about Masato
what a loving father they have yet they are driving him away at the same time
Takemichi stopped seeing Masato go left to enter a historical tea house, she looked at the top of the building and saw the big billboard with KOUSHAKU written on it, she thought it was the name of the tea house. she entered gradually and was quickly greeted by numerous customers sitting in their seats. her head darted left to right trying to find Masato until she saw him waving while sitting near the glass view of the shop, Takemichi proceeded in his direction and sat down in front of him
"good afternoon dear customers!" a female waitress approached them with a cheerful voice which startled Takemichi, she pulled out her ballpen and paper "can I have your orders?"
"a tea blossom for me" Masato smiled, his eyes falling on Takemichi "what do you like Hanagaki-san?"
"s.. same please" Takemichi answered nervously
