"she lost a lot of blood, we need to cover up immediately!"
a nurse calls as her hand pumps into Takemichi's chest, a mask placed in her mouth that is connected to the machine on her side. her hand had dextrose on it with new blood flowing inside her. every nurse inside the ambulance started arguing and shouting after they saw the heartbeat on the monitor was slowly dying.
Ken who was sitting next to the older restless and wouldn't do anything when he noticed the nurses with him pumping Takemichi's chest trying to get her heartbeat back to normal, his sweaty hand gripped tightly older's hand resting on her side. he brought his forehead close to it as he kissed the back of Takemichi's hand
several minutes had passed and Takemichi's situation had worsened, due to the stab she received from Kiyomasa causing it to penetrate the back of her waist. she has lost a lot of blood since her kidney was affected. many organs were also cut near her waist so there is a half chance that Takemichi will survive after that. one of the nurses said they also had a patient similar to what happened to Takemichi. but even that they could not save them since it was too late when everyone brought his body to the hospital. seeing the wound received on Takemichi's waist. they do not know if they can afford this operation
despite knowing if they could save the older if her life was already in the middle of the line, Ken noticed that they lacked courage, which caused him to get furious and start screaming.
they are nurses who work in a hospital and it is their duty to save their patients as much as they can, that is why they are called nurses and doctors because they know how to heal a person. any kind of injury, fracture, stabbing, chronic pain. all of that they can heal if they just trust in their abilities. but once they saw Takemichi's situation as if they didn't want to continue the operation and just let her die, Ken's blood started to boil.
he would have wanted to punch them one by one to make them conscious, didn't they see that Takemichi needed help? have they not seen what they are doing? they want to let Takemichi die right in front of Ken! they are nurses but what did they do before?! Is it because they saw that Takemichi was going to lose her life too so they wanted to let her? That's bullshit. if Ken hadn't seen the expressions they were making, maybe by this time Takemichi was already dead
remembering what happened to Takemichi, Ken couldn't stop himself from crying when he saw Takemichi stabbed in front of him earlier, the kimono that was flowery and colorful like her was that suddenly full of blood. her happy sun-like expression fell into a heartbreaking smile. sitting in front of him like a hero he had watched on television when he was a kid. yeah, he always sees this scene on superhero shows on his television. Takemichi looks like a superhero who saved him from a monster. funny to think of that thing but at the same time he wanted to cry
if he only knew that Kiyomasa would stab him in that crowd with that knife, he could only stop it with one of his fists. but because of his stupidity in lowering his guard Takemichi received that stab instead of him
Takemichi is just a girl, a ray of sunshine who always makes other people around her happy. she's always worried when her friends get into trouble. she always works out a way to make things easier for others. she's also the one who always sacrifices for others. even though she was a nerd and had no strength to fight. for Ken, when he met Takemichi for the first time he knew she had an innocent and kind soul that needed to be taken care of.
he wanted to scold Takemichi the day they saw her in the fighting ground but he couldn't, seeing they had found the person important to them again. he didn't want to let that person go again like before.
"J..Just hold on...Take-san" Ken cried as he tightened his grip on the older's hand
