"So, recently oru rumour vanthurukku, athavuthu ungelukkum Ahana kum oru secret relationship poitu iruku nu, athu unmaiya?" the guy who was interviewing him asked with a coy smile and a smirk. Ashwin, who has already been through this discussion countless times already knows where this conversation is going to go, so he sat up straight and confidently leaned back against the couch that was given and looked directly at the guy's eyes "Ethu unmaiya?" he fired back and the guy's reaction blanked before composing himself again "Athavuthu ungelukkum Ahana kum oru kala thodarbu-" "Kala thodurba?" Ashwin asked suprised and amused. 'Ahana is gonna have a field day with this'  Ashwin thought to himself and huffed silently.

"Ungelukke ithu nyayama iruka? If I was in a relationship with Ahana, why would I hide it? I would have proudly shown her off as my girlfriend. And I haven't done that, so athule irunthe teriye vena? There's nothing between us, and both of us are very good friends" Ashwin clarified confidently but the guy was not in the mood to let him off the hook that easily "But, neege rendu perum adikadi ore veetle irukingge and most of the time papparazi sees you together?" "Yeah, yen oru girl and boy just friends ah iruke koodatha? Ore veetle irukruthale nange lovers ah aire mudiyuma? I've known her for a very long time so anthe comfort naale than I stay at her house occasionally and plus her apartment complex is literally opposite me so why not? Ungeele maare narrow minded people irukuruthalathan oru girl and boy normal ah friends ah koode oru veetle irukum mudiyile" Ashwin stated and the guy immediately shut his mouth. 

Ashwin smirked internally as the guy hastily finished off the interview and gave him a small smile before walking off the set. The set technician took off his microphone and took a selfie with him before allowing Ashwin to leave the set. Ashwin exited the building and stood there, breathing in the Friday evening breeze as his limbs stretched out since he's been in those back to back interview for the past half a day. He was about to grab his phone from his pocket when his ringtone blares and he immediately takes it out and checks the caller ID, a beaming smile on his face when he sees the name in it. "Sollu da" "Apro epdi poche?" the person on the other end asks him with mirth evident in her tone and Ashwin laughs "Unneku iniki onnu naala matirukuthu" "Enna? Nambe secret ah love panro, athane?" she asks and Ashwin's laughter increases "Yeah, ipo ennena nambe oru kala thodurbe le irukuma" he says and as he guessed it Ahana bursts out laughing on the other end.

Ashwin pins his phone between his right ear and right shoulder as he unlocks his car and settles inside, turning on the car and the AC in it, letting his sweaty body cool down. "Inuma da sirichikitu iruke" he asks as he adjusts his grip on his phone and hears her wheezing "Ille nambe oru secret relationship le iruko nu sollumbothe naa apdi siriche, ipo kala thodorbu nu sonna.." her words dissolve into another set of laughter. Ashwin shakes his head and looks into the front mirror to check his hair and face before going back to the call "Cheri cheri, pothum, naa onnu avalo mosamanave ella ille. Yaruku teriyum, enneku unmailiye oru kala kathali irukulam" he says and Ahana coughs "Yaaru? Unneku?" she says and laughs again "Unnela love panrathe periye visiyum, ithule kala kathali vechirukara, poviya" she says and Ashwin gapes "Adipavi, unnela poiyi friendu nu nenichi sonne pathiya, enne solnum, che" he grumbles but Ahana snickers. "Cheri, cheri, kochikathe. Ipo yenna plan?" "CWC family koode oru get together, athe mudichitu apidiye veetu ku than route. Neeye?" he asks as he connects his phone to his car's Bluetooth and starts reversing his car out of the parking.

"Nothing much, to be honest, ipothana lockdown ella mudinchi, so ipothan offer vare arambikithu, I might travel back to Los Angeles-" "Permenant ah va?" "Eh, no lah, oru mathiri permenant plus temporary? Like oru series offer vathuruku, so athuku naa angeye oru aaru maasam angethan irukunum, so yeah temporary ah half a year ange iruppen, but mudinjone inge vanthuruven" "Ohh, cheri cheri. Da, I'm almost reaching the restaurant, I'll call you back?" "No pa, I'll be busy with my architecture project, deadline vere varuthu plus few contracts naa sign pode decide pannunum, so you enjoy, naaliki pesikila" Ahana says and Ashwin hums before ending the call with her as he parks in front of the restaurant. Ashwin grabs his masks as it's still a rule, and enters the restaurant to see his entire CWC family there, their voices resonating through out the entire place. "Ashwineyyy!" was the voice that greeted him and his smile widened to see Sivaangi beaming at him from her place beside Pugazh. "Mappilai, vaada, yen ivlo neram?" Pugazh asks as Ashwin takes a seat on the other side of Sivaangi "Interview irunthuchi da, back to back, plus Ahana koode pesikitu irunthen so slow va kaadi ye otikitu irunthe, sorry" he apologizes but they wave it off with a smile and a joke. 

Ordering his favourite food, he texts Ahana one last time before switching off his phone and slotting it into his pocket. "Ah!" he exclaimed when an elbow hits his right side and sees Sivaangi sheepishly looking at him "Valikithu ma" he says rubbing at the place "Sorry ashwineyy, ungele kupdenumthan apdi panne" "Athuku yen pere vechi kuptrukulam le, ama, valikithu" he says again and Sivaangi rolls her eyes "Valarndha kolandha" she teases and the both of them giggle quietly. "Cheri, yenna kekenum?" "Oh, Ahana akka epdi irukange?" "Oh, she's fine. Yenna madam ipo rombe busy, architecture vele yum paathukutu, acting yum paathukutu irukule, so apo apo than call panni pese mudiyum, or must wait until she calls me" he says with a shrug as his favourite food arrives and he starts to dig in, the laughter and jokes from his adopted CWC family being the perfect background atmosphere to calm his tired self.

So, that's it for Chapter 1, and I know it's a little bland but it's just me setting the stage for the characters and stuff. The drama will come later on 😈.
