Ahana is in the midst of zipping her bag up when her phone rings. She zips up her bag and walks over to the vanity table and sees Ashwin's name on the caller ID. "Ah, sollu da?" "Da, I'm waiting for you downstairs, enge iruke?" Ashwin says on the other side of the line and Ahana can sense the irritation in his tone. Ahana furrows her eyebrows as he's never been this irritated to wait for her "Enna achi? Yen oru margama irukke?" she prods and Ashwin sighs "Shana teriyuma?" "Ah" "Avaluku epdi yen number terinjuthu nu terile, morning eh start panita, text after text" he complains and Ahana huffs "Cheri, nee mothe ulle va, I want to see the text, apdi yennathe than anupena nu naanum paakapore" she says and Ashwin hums before cutting the call. She's finishing up her makeup when she hears the door open and shut and then followed by footsteps that stop at the living room and then a muffled thump on the couch followed by a sigh of a breath. She seals her makeup with the setting mist before switching off her bedroom lights . She walks down the stairs to see Ashwin reclined against the sofa, his feet up on the coffee table. "Unneku yen ava kude pagaiya ille... why don't you like her so much?" she enquires and Ashwin stares at the darkened television screen, his fingers pushing and pulling out of nervousness. Ahana grabs his hand and raises an eyebrow at him to answer her. Ashwin then takes a deep breath and looks at her "I used to like her" he starts and Ahana nods "When akka kalyanam pani oru varam than irukkum, apo akka vum mama vum enge veetle than iruntange, as customs. Ashwin takes a deep breath and then looks at Ahana, her eyes red and her nose sniffling and he immediately sits up. Unne vida ennaku naala teriyum, the last thing you would ever do in this entire goddamn world is to hurt me, verbally or physically." he says and Ahana leans back, her lips curled in a small smile. "Cheri" she says wiping her eyes and laughing it out "Nambe ipdiye irunthum, nambe late ah than poi urukke serumvum, va poola, poi anthe ratchasiye yethanum verre" she says as she pulls her luggage with her to the front door, Ashwin's bellowing laughter echoing from behind.
"Inthe station thaana?" Ahana asks as they both wait near the Chennai Metro station, their car parked temporarily. "Inthe station than sonnuchi, terle paapom. Ashwin then switches the radio to bluetooth and connects his phone, opening his Spotify and playing the track that he left off earlier this morning. 'Idhazhin oru oram sirithaai anbae...' blasts from the radio and Ahana giggles quietly but Ashwin notices it and looks at her suspiciously "Enna siripu?" he asks and that's all it takes for her to burst out laughing "Ille inthe paata ketta nee anniki yenna sonne? Idhayam oru oram..." and then proceeds to laugh out loud as Ashwin whines "Ahana..." "Ille ille, idhayam oru ooram ah? Atha paathene, unge idhayam oru oorama than irunthuchi nu" she teases and laughs again, Ashwin grumbling but his lips curving into a shy smile. The duo was having fun teasing and laughing when Ahana's eyes caught someone waving at their car and she pokes Ashwin's arm "Ah, valikuthu di, ama, poi nail cut pannu, pei maare vechikitu" he complains as he rubs the spot she poked and she gives a look "Valarndha kolandha. Cheri, ithu apro pesikelam, athe paaru, aatha Shana?" she asks pointing at the lady waving at their car agressively.
Ashwin confirms it buy groaning and hitting his head softly to the headrest. "Avale thaan" he says and then goes to unbuckle his seatbelt when Ahana stops him and he looks at her with a raised eyebrow "Yenna?" "Nee iru, naa poiyi anthe rani ye alachitu vaaren, inniki ava ennode resposibility and property" she says and Ashwin lets her as he sees a mischievous glint in her eyes and he know she's gonna torture her to the max today. Ahana gets down from the car and she instantly sees Shana's smile dim and is replaced with a fake one 'Mavale inniki irukudi onnuke, unne aluva vaikama naa Coimbatore le irunthu naa poga viduve maaten naanum poga maaten' Ahana internally smirks and then puts on a friendly face and greets her "Hai! Neege than Shana va?" she asks innocently and she nods "Ammange, naa than Shana, Ashu ode athe ponnu" she says and Ahana internally rolls her eyes at how cheesy that sounds but then smiles at her "Ashu va?" "Ashwin ode nickname, yengge avarode helper ah irunthu kitu ithu koode terle na, epdi?" Shana taunts her and Ahana controls her entire willpower in her not to lash out and the looks at her.
"Ille yeena Ashu nu koopta avanuku pidikathe. Apdi than oru ponnu avane apdi kooptuchi, avan avale naala naaku pudungure maari ketutu apdiye poitan ne, nengge yenamo puthu kathe solringe" Ahana teases as she places her luggage inside, groaning at how heavy it was "Function ku poringala ille ange poi kaade pode poringala?" Ahana taunts again and sees her clenching her jaw. 'Success! Ei, enneke sarcasm ah? Naala sarcasm ke degree yeduthuve di' Ahana smirks as she shuts the booth and sees her opening the front passenger seat. She's about to tell her when she hears Ashwin's voice from inside "Ahana, nee vanthu munuku okanthiko, yen poi passenger ellam munadi okare vaikire?" Ashwin says and Shana's face sours as she glares at Ahana and seats in the back, Ahana proudly sitting in front. Ashwin then puts the car in drive and exits out of the station when Shana leans forward and puts her hands on both of their seats, her annoying perfume clogging their noses. "Konjum pinadi saanji okaringila?" Ahana tuts and Shana clicks her tongue in annoyance "En? Ithu ennode ishtam, naa epdi venalum okaruven, ithu yen Ashu ode car, nee yaaru solruthuku?" Shana taunts again, smirk plastered on her face. "Ille unge perfume rombe strong ah irukku-" "It's expensive okay? Paris le irunthu naa import panuthu, yennode friends ennode birthday ku vaangi kuduthange" "Ohh" Ahana says, nodding along with her words.
"Aana engeyo kelvi paaten, inthe maari expensive brand ulle perfume oru saatha market le vangena ipdi than rombe strong ah vaade adikum nu, yenna naanum than expensive brand paikiren aana ennode mellow va than irruku, yen Ashwin ode kude thaan branded , avanode elle kite ponathan anthe vaasam varum. So ithu neenge Koyambedu market le thaane vanguninge?" Ahana teases and Shana rears back as if she's been slapped physically before she goes back and leans back in her seat, her mouth grumbling and her anger up in her head. Ashwin covers his mouth and looks at her with wide eyes and Ahana looks at him and smirks before looking back at the street. She leans towards Ashwin and whispers "I told ya, she's my resposibility and property until we come back from Coimbatore. Inthe oru vaaram naana ille avala nu paakeren" she says and leans back straight. 'Ennode Ashwin ne epdi aluve vitrupe, irukku di, inthe vaaram poora unneke rudra thandavam naa ade pooren'
