Shana slams Ashwin's car door before storming off into the house, muttering and grumbling about Ahana and Ashwin. She enters the house to see her mom and dad sitting in the hall talking to her sister-in-law and brother. "Ashwin vum Ahana vum engge ?" her sister-in-law, Priyanka akka, asked her with a raised eyebrow "Avunge rendu perum engeyo velile poirukangge, thaniya pesrethuku" Shana replies with a grunt and then flops herself on to the single couch and unlocks her phone. She opens her Instagram and the goes to the 'Explore' option and accidently sees an edit on the both of them. Shana's blood boils as it's a love edit about them using their onscreen and offscreen pics together. She immediately clicks the 'Not Interested' option and then exits the app before getting up and walking off to her room. She locks the door and then lays on her bed, staring up at the ceiling, reminiscing her memories with him.

It's been infatuation at first sight when she first saw him, coming to the train station in Coimbatore to pick her up, since she couldn't attend her brother's marriage as she was in her final examination. From the moment he picked her up, he was nothing but polite and she was clearly impressed as it was the exact opposite of how he looked on the outside. Seeing his bulky 5'11 ft body she asked him if he was a model and he laughed it off saying no he was currently unemployed as he was searching for a chance in the film industry as an actor. Shana merely hummed at that and that kinda started their so called friendship. Being the only elder girl in the gaggle of young cousins she had, Ashwin was a big support and friend, when she wanted to have a small chit-chat with him. They did have clashes in likes and dislikes and there were some of his behavior that constantly put her on edge, but she shrugged it off as initial stages of friendship. It took that one week she was at her brother's in-law's house for her to fall head over heels for him and she was happy that she's finally found the perfect one, since her family has already liked the boy from the day they went to see her sister-in-law for her hand in marriage.

But there was one thing that kept her from pursuing her interest in him, his career choice. She was very well aware about his degree in Mechanical Engineering and his MBA and was trying to think of ways to persuade him to take over her father's business since her brother has a company of his own. She's always looked down at young boys and girls trying their hand in the film and media industry as for her it's a waste of time. Why struggle to place your face in front of the camera when you can easily earn if you work in a corporate company. With that in mind she went and talked to him, and that ended up in a big fight between them as Ashwin insisted in his decision to go to Chennai and try his luck regardless he hasn't been getting offers as of that time. Shana tried and tried to change his mind but Ashwin, the ever stubborn man he was, stood his ground on his decision, leaving Shana to storm off in anger. After one day of complete silence, she weaseled back into his life, determined to change his mind about his career choice. At anytime and at any point of time she would subtly insert the topic but Ashwin would discretely deviate it and will start talking about his childhood, which to her was extremely boring.

It was the eve of her going back to the city since her break was over that she gave up on him and the infatuation she had on him slowly wore off. She distanced herself from him and restarted back her online dating app to find for new guys. She ignored him until the day came for her to leave the village and she did that without saying a word to him, not even a goodbye, happy that she has cut all ties with an ambitionless young man. Little did she know ten years later, she would see him at the front page of Chennai Times of India as one of the most desirable men on television and in the film industry. She looked closer to the picture and admired that he still looked in his prime even though she knows that he's entering his 30's. She immediately tries to call him up as she remembers that he lives in Chennai but it was in vain as he would never pick up her calls or some of it will go to his voicemail. When she was about to give up, she saw about the newest sensation of the town, about Ashwin and Sivaangi, how they are now the talk of the town and how almost everyone regardless of age and gender shipped them, even prayed for them to really come together in the future. Jealousy clouded her mind as she opens her laptop and searches for 'Sivaangi', and hundreds of article pops up. She gets to know that she used to be a SS7 contestant, now a playback singer and an entertainer in the CWC cooking show, and that's how she met with Ashwin.

But she wasn't bothered much as she thinks that Sivaangi is too innocent and young that she was sure Ashwin would never look at her beyond friends, at most a well-wisher. She then starts to follow him up, from his latest gossip to his latest video song shooting, his latest heroine and his latest interview. The long lost infatuation came back with a bang this time even stronger as she realized that now he has fame and a great reputation among the society. Shana was planning to meet him when her brother called to invite her for Aishu's puberty function and Shana thanked the God and informed her brother that she has no transport here as her car was in service. Her brother that discussed with his wife and asked her to text Ashwin since he's there and will be easier to bring her there, she eagerly accepted it.

But what she forgot to include in the equation is this new character called Ahana, Ashwin's so called bestie of six years. When she first saw her getting down Ashwin's car, she racked her brain to imagine the Sivaangi picture she saw in the internet and the woman walking up to her now and then realized, no, it's not the same person. Looking at her she thought she's on of those easy to be fooled type but what she didn't see coming was her sharp mouth, or tongue. The moment she teased and snarked about her perfume she reeled back as if she has been slapped and then looked at her shocked and was disappointed to know Ashwin wasn't backing her up, more like enjoying Ahana's sarcasm. Whatever she imagined the trip would go for her did not come true as Ashwin never once looked at her or asked her how she was doing, as he was more interested in spending time with that Ahana and listening songs. Reaching the house was a bigger mistake as the whole family treated her as an outsider while Ahana got royally treated, the entire family blessing her. Whenever she wanted to spend time with Ashwin, she would always she him either glued to his phone chatting to someone or glued to Ahana, laughing and giggling away.

The last straw was when Ashwin himself using sarcasm on her to ask her to get out of the car as he wants to spend private time with Ahana. Her annoyance and jealousy reached her peak as now she's determined to either seperate them or make them not talk to each other and there's only two ways to do that, one was misunderstanding and the other one is distrust. Misunderstanding is a little hard since they know each other so much and are firm in their relationship with each other, hence jealousy won't work out as Ahana would be more happier than jealous if Ashwin goes into a relationship. Hence, distrust is the key. Ahana trusts Ashwin that he would never hide anything from her and she's seen that from a few occasions here and she wants to use that for her benefit. She hears the living room downstairs getting noisier and she knows that Ashwin and Ahana are back home.

She unlocks her door and opens it slowly, just in time to see Ashwin going out of his room, talking loudly to Ahana who was standing at the stairs near the room, both of them laughing for an inside joke between them. "- naa appove sonne inthe maare ellam nadakumnu...." Ashwin's voice floats as he walks away from the corridor and down the stairs as Shana tip-toes to his room. Just as predicted he has left his phone on his vanity table, letting it to charge. She closes the door and goes to the phone, realizing that his phone must be password protected 'Shit! Ellam yosike terinje ennaku ithe yosikke teriliye' she curses herself internally as she thinks of a way to unlock his phone. Shana snaps her fingers when she remembers one of the method to unlock a locked password somewhere in the internet. She takes his phone and presses her thumb on the 'Side' button and her index finger on the 'Volume Down' button and continues to press it until the recovery mode appears on the screen then she connects it to his laptop that was laying on the bed, fortunately not password protected 'Huh, he's still outdated in cyber security' and then hovers the mouse on the restore option when she hears someone clearing their throat from behind. Shana freezes as she takes of her finger from the mouse pad and slowly turns back to look at Ahana there, leaning against the doorframe, her smile representing that of a shark, whose ready to kill.
