Ahana groans as she stretches and blinks her eyes awake, the early morning sun rays making her bed nice, warm and toasty. She rolls over and lays on her back as she rubs the sleep off her eyes and stares at the wall before taking a deep breath "Morning J" she greets and smiles hearing the faint static before JARVIS's voice floats throughout her room "Morning Miss, would you like today morning's status?" "Yeah, but first the weather, wanna go on a walk" "As you wish Miss, the weather in New York is 30 degrees Fahrenheit with scattered clouds" "Any chance it would rain today, J?" she asks as she gets up from bed and swings her legs to sit on the side of the bed. "Most likely not Miss" "Mmm, and whose awake?" "As usual Captain is awake and having his breakfast and Sir is fast asleep" "The others?" "Everyone is still asleep Miss" "Wait, what is the time?" "It's five thirty in the morning Miss, a very good morning" the A.I says and Ahana huffs "I can hear sarcasm a mile away, J, don't play that game with the queen of sarcasm" "Unfortunately, Miss Romanova has already earned that title after Sir challenged her" the A.I says deadpanned and Ahana laughs "Damn, but darn it, guess I have to earn back the title huh, J?" "However will you do that?" "Community college, J" she warns playfully as she walks to the en suite bathroom smiling when she hears the robotical laughter from the A.I.

After brushing her teeth and changing to her workout outfit, Ahana jogs her way to the kitchen and sees Steve slumped over his cereal reading his iPad. "Morning!" she greets as she goes over the refrigerator and grabs a bottle of iced water and keeps it on the island. Steve looks up from the screen and beams at her "Morning doll, you slept good?" "Yeah, Nat's vodka martini really knocked me out last night, the only thing I knew was me falling flat on my face on the bed and sleeping" she says with a laugh and Steve snickers "And how are you?" he asks and Ahana knows what he's asking about but busies herself with transferring the iced water into her water bottle. "Doll..." "I know, I know, it's just..." she sighs and then turns and leans against the marble counter top, her lower back digging into it as she faces Steve "It's just... I really want him to grovel heck beg me for forgiveness but at the same time....at the same time I don't wanna lose him, ya know?" she says and Steve hums "I just... I don't know if it's my ego or my broken heart....damn it...it's just I wanna talk to him but at the same time not? You get it right?" she asks and Steve smiles nodding her head, before going over to her and wrapping his arms around her, Ahana instantly melting into it "No wonder Tony says you're a walking space heater" she mumbles into his t-shirt and hears him huff. They just stand there, in each other's embrace before Steve clears his throat "I get it, you want him but at the same time you want to validate your own feelings, correct?" he asks and Ahana nods her head "Your heart's still broken but at the same time you don't want to break your friendship with him, correct?" he asks again and Ahana nods "What should I do? I asked Sebby that yesterday and he asked me to give some distance but what if me giving distance is gonna make me lose him for good?" she asks and rubs her face using his t-shirt to wipe of her tears and Steve tightens his hold on her.

"Text him, text him and say you need some space, but don't make it sound like you're ending it, just....just use your words wisely and make it sound like you need space but you're also not breaking up with him" he says and Ahana nods before leaning back and looking at him "Thanks" she says and Steve hums before pecking her on the forehead "You coming for a walk?" he asks as he washes his dishes and goes to the elevator, putting on his walking shoes "Yup, just gimme a minute" she says and Steve hums before he takes the elevator to the ground floor. She washes her hand and splashes the ice cold tap water onto her face before she picks up her phone and sees Ashwin's last message still unread. She taps on his name and then takes a deep breath before she types.

Ahana - Ashwin, I need space, just gimme space....temporarily. I'm not cutting our friendship but just....I need some time alone, with my people, and in a surrounding that I'm familiar with. Won't come back for another three days so....so just take care of yourself.
