Fall (Chapter 1)

INT. LORELAI'S HOUSE (KITCHEN). DAY

Rory is coming out of her room. She slowly closes the door because her baby is sleeping. She goes to the kitchen to get some coffee when her phone starts to vibrate.

Rory:

Hey what's up? (makes a pause) Mom calm down, what happened?

INT.LORELAI'S CAR. DAY

Lorelai looks worried and sad. She is holding tight to avoid crying.

Lorelai:

(Altered) Luke got into a car accident?

Rory:

What?

Lorelai:

April just called. And told me!

Rory:

April? How does she know? (confused) Was she with Luke?

Lorelai:

No. she was all crying and bubbling. I didn't understand much of what she said. (Nervous) Apparently, she and Luke were talking on the phone and then she said she heard a big crash and...

Rory:

And what?

Lorelai:

(breaks and cries a little) Luke didn't answer anymore!

Rory:

Oh my god! (makes a pause and hears Lorelai crying) Mom you gotta calm down... where are you know?

Lorelai:

(Breathes) I'm on my way to the San Joseph's.

Rory:

Ok, I'll ask Lane to stay with Amy and I'll see you on the hospital

Lorelai:

No, no, no stay, the baby needs you!

Rory:

But I can go...

Lorelai:

(trying to calm herself down) I'll be fine.

Rory:

Are you sure?

Lorelai:

Yeah, I'll just called to let you know! (breathes)

Rory:

You know Luke is a strong man. I'm sure he'll fine.

Lorelai breathes but she drops some more tears. Rory notices this.

Rory:

Mom?

Lorelai:

(Nervous) But, what if he is not?

Rory:

Don't say that. (makes a little pause) Come on it's Luke. He's like Batman but instead of using a mask, he uses a cap! He's gonna be ok.

Lorelai:

I really hope so because I don't know what I would do if he...

Rory:

Mum! Come on, we don't even know what really happened yet. Maybe he just has a few scratches and a bump on the head.

Lorelai:

(Nervous smile) Yeah, maybe...

Rory:

So let's no get ahead, ok? (makes a pause) Is April at the hospital?

Lorelai:

No, she's on her way too.

Rory:

Well, try to calm down and take all the time you need. We'll be ok.

Lorelai:

If you need something...

Rory:

(Interrupts) I'll call Sookie or Babette. And please, as soon as you know something call!

Lorelai:

I will Kid. Would you please tell Caesar?

Rory:

I'm on it!

Lorelai:

Thank you Rory. Give Amy a kiss.

Rory:

Ok. I love you mom.

Lorelai:

Love you too. Bye.

Lorelai drops some more tears. She looks really worried. We see her car passing fast over a road with a lot of orange trees on the back. The car goes off scene and the word FALL appears at the back, it stays on screen for some seconds and disappear.
