Fall (Chapter 6)

EXT. LORELAI'S HOUSE. DAY

Rory comes out of the house to look for the mail. She is wearing pajamas and slippers. Babette is in her door, about to get in her house. Rory goes in direction to the mail box.

Babette:

Rory, Doll, how you doing?

Rory:

Hey Babette, fine thanks. How's Morty doing with that cold? Feeling better?

Babette:

Yeah sugar. He's been feeling better. He is dying to meet the baby.

Rory opens the mail box and takes the mail out. She starts to look the mail.

Babette: (cont'd)

And how's Luke?

Rory:

Playing with the granddaughter right now.

Babette:

I never pictured Luke as a Kid's Man.

Rory:

Yeah, me either.

Between the different things, Rory finds out a big envelope for her sent it by Jess. She remains looking at the envelope

Babette:

Well sugar, I gotta take this medicines to Morty. Say Luke hi for me.

Rory:

Thanks Babette, I will.

Rory finally opens the envelope and takes a book from it. It's her book, all printed. It has a big cover in full color where we can see clearly "Gilmore Girls, living, loving but mostly talking". There's also a note with the book. She takes it out an read it. The note says: A promise is a promise. I hope you like how it looks. Jess. Rory looks for something else but the envelope is empty. She smiles and goes back to the house

INT. LORELAI'S HOUSE. DAY

Lorelai is heating some food and coffee. She's stills wearing her pajamas. Rory comes in by the Kitchen's door. She's hiding the mail behind her back. Lorelai looks at her and notices Rory is acting weird.

Lorelai:

Hey, you got the mail?

Rory puts the mail over the table with one hand and with the other she shows Lorelai the book.

Rory:

Look!

Lorelai:

It's that...?

Rory:

(Nodding) Yes.

Rory gives the book to Lorelai. She grabs it and sees the cover. She looks surprised.

Lorelai:

It's all printed and ready! It has even a cover!

Rory:

I know!

Lorelai:

But how?

Rory:

Jess!

Lorelai:

What, Jess?
