Fall (Chapter 9)

EXT. LORELAI'S HOUSE – PORCH. NIGHT

We see Lorelai outside the house all-anxious. She seems like she's waiting for someone. Suddenly Gipsy appears on scene with Luke's truck. She gets to the front of Lorelai's house and turns off the truck, then she comes down.

Gipsy:

Well, here it is.

Lorelai:

It looks great Gipsy!

Gipsy:

I should've charged more, you know? And why don't you people just change your old cars?

Lorelai:

What can I say? It's a family thing!

Gipsy leaves scene. Lorelai goes up the stairs, opens the door and calls for Luke.

Lorelai:

Hey Luke, can you come in here for a second?

Luke: (Off scene)

What?

Lorelai:

Just come!... (Thinks) Part of the tree fell over my car! Hurry.

We hear the Luke coming to the door. When he finally gets to the door he freezes when seeing his old truck repaired.

Luke:

What, I didn't hear anything... wha...

Lorelai:

It looks great doesn't it?

Luke:

That's my old...?

Lorelai:

Yes, it is

Luke:

But it was practically...

Both go to the truck and Lorelai looks really happy by Luke's reaction.

Luke: (cont'd)

Destroyed.

Lorelai:

I know.

Luke:

Junk!

Lorelai:

I know!

Luke:

Then how...

Lorelai:

I made some calls and got it back...

Luke:

I don't know what to say.

Lorelai:

Well it was your father's truck and I know how important it is to you so...

Luke:

You fixed it?

Lorelai:

Actually, Gipsy did it.

Luke:

(smiles) Oh my god Lorelai.

Lorelai:

So you no talking means you liked the surprised?

Luke:

Of course! Thank you so much. (Hugs Lorelai)
