INT. LORELAI'S HOUSE – KITCHEN. NIGHT

April is at the stove cooking while the dog is next to her sitting down and looking at her.

April:

It won't work buddy. My dad warned me about your little mind tricks (makes a sign to the dog with her hands)

The dog keeps looking at her.

April: (cont'd)

Gosh but you are so cute. I tell you what, this is my dad's diner but after I finished a make you some food, ok?

Paul Anka barks responding to April's question.

Ah, cute and smart!

We hear the door open and close. After some seconds we see Lorelai coming to the kitchen.

Lorelai:

(surprised) Hey April.

April:

Hey Lorelai.

Lorelai:

You are home early today

April:

Yeah, I let Caesar close the diner and I came early. I though I could make diner for my dad.

Lorelai:

That's nice. I didn't know you cook!

April:

Yeah, me either.

Lorelai:

(Confused) What?

April:

But Caesar thought me some stuff the past days so we'll see.

Lorelai realizes Paul Anka is sitting next to April.

Lorelai:

Hey buddy, what are you doing there?

April:

we were talking?

Lorelai:

Talking?

April:

Yes. He is a really smart dog.

Lorelai:

Yeah I know, We are still thinking what colleges he will apply to.

April:

I didn't know there were Colleges for dogs!

Lorelai:

No there are no... I was just... Anyway, what you making?

April:

Meat low, rice and mashed potatoes. Do you want some?

Lorelai:

That'll be nice, thanks.

April gets two plates and puts some food in one for Luke and some in the other for Lorelai. Lorelai remains standing and looks a bit uncomfortable. She turns in direction to the living room.

April:

Hey Lorelai, I wanted to tell you something.

Lorelai:

(Turn back) Yes?

April:

I know I never get your jokes...
