Fall (Chapter 4)

INT. LORELAI'S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM. DAY

Rory is sitting on the couch playing with her baby.

Rory:

And that's how Granny turned mommy into a coffee addict!

We hear someone knocking on the door. Rory carries the baby and goes to the door.

Rory:

(Opens the door) Logan! (Confused) What are you doing here?

Logan:

Can I come in?

Rory:
Sure.

Logan closes the door and both go to the living room.

Logan:

(Looking at the baby) She's bigger than the last time. Can I hold her?

Rory:

She eats a lot! (Gives the baby to Logan)

Logan:

(To the baby) Hi there Amy, how is my beautiful little girl? (Looking at Rory) She's gonna break so much hearts.

Logan keeps talking to the baby and playing with her. Rory looks surprised.

Rory:

And what are you doing here? Business trip?

Logan:

No, I just wanted to take some time off.

Rory:

Time off? Come on Logan, you never take time off. Is everything ok? You are kind of weird.

Logan:

Odette just left!

Rory:

What do you mean she left? Where?

Logan:

She find out about Amy so... She left...me!

Rory:

(Surprised) Oh!

Logan:

It doesn't really matter right now. She knows and now we're getting divorce.

Rory:

(Surprised) I don't know what to say! I feel this is kind of my fault too!

Logan:

No, don't say that. I should've been honest. It's done.

Rory:

Now I get the time off thing!

Logan:

Yeah, and to make things even better, my father just found out.

Rory:

And how did he take it?

Logan:

You know my father.

Rory:

Logan I'm really, really sorry.

Logan:

Don't be. (makes a pause) Looking the good side, I got to be here with this beautiful young lady!

Rory:

(smiles) and how long are you gonna stay?

Logan:

A week, a month. I don't know. Maybe I'll just move back to the States.
