As I was walking to my room to get changed, Jacob pulled me into his room and shut the door quietly behind him."What are you doing?!"
"Shh, follow me!"
"Jacob we're supposed to be changing!"
"It'll only take a second. I promise we'll be back before they even know we're gone."
"Ok..."
I followed him into a closet and he pulled a lever, sending us down a chute. I involuntarily screamed, and Jacob laughed quietly behind me. We landed in a pickup truck, and as soon as we fastened our seat belts, Jacob hit the gas, driving 100 mph on a country road. I laughed of giddiness, and a couple minutes later, we stopped on a lake. We stared at the lake for a moment, admiring its beauty. Then, out of nowhere, he leaned over the seat and kissed me adoringly. I had many many butterflies, but had enough sense to kiss him back. So we sat there, in the truck, gently kissing, myself in a daze. However, we were rudely interrupted by Jacob's mission phone, but he slapped it and went back to kissing me, lingering a little when we realized we'd better get back if we didn't want anyone to know what just happened.
"Do we have to go?" I fake-complained, giggling as I did.
"I'm sorry, Noel, I'd love to continue kissing you, but if we ever wanna live this down we have to get back," He said, trying to suppress a smile.
"Good point," I replied teasingly.
"Don't worry, I'll kiss you again as soon as possible."
"I'd love that," I whispered, leaning my head on his shoulder.
We got back and quickly got our gear on, grabbing our bags and meeting the team downstairs.
Sam and Bryn looked at each other and smirked.
"Guys... where have you been?!" Connor asked with a worried tone. Ember reached up and patted his shoulder.
Jacob glanced at me and smiled.
"Don't worry about it. We had to take care of something." Jacob replied smoothly.
"But you didn't answer your mission phone," Ben said dubiously.
"We were busy," I said simply.
Sam teasingly rolled his eyes over to Bryn, standing a little taller as she giggled.
"Doing what, may I ask?"
This made all the girls burst into giggles as the guys smirked at me and Jacob. Jacob raised his eyebrows at Sam.
"We don't need to worry about that, do we? I mean, we're here and ready to go," Jacob smiled.
Drew momentarily broke his gaze from Andie, confused.
"What? What was happening? What did they do?"
The group laughed, and everyone began walking toward the garage. Bryn skipped up to me, her eyes sparkling.
"Does that mean he kissed you?!?!" She whispered.
I said nothing and avoided her gaze. She began to squeal with delight and danced around me.
"Can I go tell Sam?!"
"No! It's supposed to be a secret, silly!"
She pretended to frown, the smile creeping into her voice.
"You're not very good at keeping secrets, Noel."
"Neither are you!" I laughed. Then I told her the whole story, and after I finished she began skipping around the whole group, making everyone's head spin. I put my head in my hands and looked up just in time to see Sam wrap his arms around her shoulders, calming her down. Just as we were about to get in our vehicles, she winked at me and got in her jet with Sam as I climbed behind Jacob on his motorcycle. We're in for a long ride.
