I awoke with a start...in a mountain? I walked out of the cave I was in, only to find it ended in a precipice.

"OHHHQPRUYANCBSLAJFHA!!!"

I had no idea what I just yelled, but it didn't sound good. I heard a rumble from above, and I dove back into the cave just as snow came barreling down the mountain.

"Avalanche," I whispered.

I had to be quiet, otherwise this could end bad for both of us. I looked around in the cave to see if there was anything I could use to help me get down the mountain. Nothing. I searched my bag and found my shape-shifting snowboard. I grabbed my goggles and winter coat from my bag and strapped myself in. I took Noel's bag and mine and strapped it to my back. I hobbled over to the edge and looked down. I let out a low whistle. I, Jacob Joubert, can do this. It was extremely steep, with pine trees and boulders scattered all over. Even worse, it was fresh powder. Very, very easy to get stuck in if I were to fall or get caught in the avalanche. I sighed. It began to sleet, so I might as well start now. I jumped off the ledge and started to wind my way down the mountain. Boulder. Tree. Bush. SnowleeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEDGE! I fought the urge to scream as I flew through the air and slammed into a pine tree. However, despite my urges to be quiet, the tree made a loud CRACK. The mountain started to rumble again. I tried to geo leap, but Amàya had apparently made that impossible. I screamed, but then quickly shut my mouth. Oh no. I braced myself. WHOOSH. The snow covered me and swept me down the mountain. I gasped for air, but the snow kept burying me. I blew a blast of wind from my hands, and the snow immediately cleared, leaving me in a pot hole a few feet deep. I thrusted my hands downward and I flew out of the pit. I lay on my back, the wind knocked out of me. I was breathing hard, and it began to snow again. I lay there, thinking all hope was lost, when I heard a whispering.

"Jacob!"

I sat up.

"Jacob!"

"Noel?!"

"JACOB!!"

"NOEL!!"

I bolted up, running toward Noel. She was shivering in her dress, and stumbled toward me. I sprinted to her, and I wrapped my arms around her. I yanked off my jacket and immediately cloaked her in what dry layers I had on me and stroked her hair.

"I thought I lost you."

"I'm here, Jacob. I'm here," Noel said, her voice muffled by my shoulder.

I carried her to the elevator, since she was so cold she could barely walk. In the elevator, Noel began to cry from the adrenaline rush. I tried comforting her, but it was no use. Finally, without even knowing I did, I kissed her. I just came at her I guess, because one moment I was watching the tears roll down her face, and the next my lips were on hers. I pulled away after a few seconds, and she looked a mix between astonished and in a daze. She sniffled and smiled. I laughed and pulled her into a hug. She snuggled close, and we walked out of the elevator together like that. She changed into a silver and light blue bodice, and black leggings. She had black and silver boots with a little heel, and her hair was up in a messy bun. She came and sat by me, and I kept her warm while describing our misadventures to Connor, Ember, Cam, and Ben. I wonder... Who's next?
