I'm so excited Ember and Connor are FINALLY together! Remind me to give him the if-you-hurt-her lecture later. I see Andie and Bryn already gave him the look. Ah, I trained them well. Anyway, as the Jamaican dance ended, the Canadian step fired up and Ben swept me onto the floor. The ballroom was beautiful and intricate, with its polished wood floors, huge diamond chandeliers, and dome ceiling. There were delicious food and drinks positioned on the sides, and an enormous orchestra playing different cultural songs.
"Ben!" I giggled. "You're supposed to be resting your leg!"
"I'll rest it later," He shrugged.
Ben was in a dashing white suit with a black tie, complementing my beautifully designed orchid ball gown. His hair was styled perfectly, but I still messed it up. I mean, who doesn't wanna do that?
"Hey Cam," Ben started.
"Yeah?"
"I never technically asked you out."
"Huh." I pretend pondered. In reality I knew exactly that. He had kissed me once and snuggled with me countless times, but we never actually made it official.
"So..."
"I'd love to be your girlfriend Ben... But..."
His eyes grew wide.
"Cam...?"
"You're gonna need to learn how to bake!" I laughed and threw my arms around him and kissed his bewildered face. I could feel him soften into it.
"Cam you really had me there!" Ben stammered.
"I'm always yours." I promised, looking into his murky green eyes.
As the dance ended, we met Noel and Jacob back over at the concessions.
I took a vanilla cupcake with sweet buttercream frosting and bit into it. I CANNOT get enough of these. Noel smiled and followed suit. I absolutely adored her dress. It had a lovely sky blue ruffly skirt, and a pretty porcelain bedazzled bodice. She wore nude heels, and she had the same makeup treatment as us, however, her eyelids resembled her dress skirt and her lips were a shimmery nude-ish pinkish.
"Noel, I know I have told you this about a million times, but I adore your dress!" I said, giggling.
"Thank you! I'm in love with yours too!"
We began talking about the makes of cupcakes, and different types of frosting.
"... Oh yeah! I love when people put cute little fondant things on top of the icing!" I exclaimed.
"But the whole cake cannot be covered in fondant," Noel warned teasingly.
"Definitely! What's your favorite type of frosting?" I inquired.
"Hmm.. Probably buttercream or chocolate!"
"I love vanilla. And chocolate chip. Perfect combination of both!"
"Good choice!"
I don't know why French people and UK people didn't get along in the past. They're so nice!! Especially her little sister and her mom- they're so sweet!
The Russian dance came on, and all the females in the room backed up against the walls so they could watch the males totally rock this. This is amazing. I'm so glad I joined the FBI- not just for saving people's lives- but for the people I've grown to love. I went into a daze apparently, 'cause the next thing I knew I was being swept into the mass dance floor. Ah, Ben. You gotta love him!
