"I wanna go home." Andy sobbed.

"I know." Ally sat beside him and held him close. "I know you don't like it here. But, they have to make sure you're okay." She insisted.

Just then a nurse came into the room.

"Back again, Andy?" The man said. "I hope you haven't been falling out of the trees again."

"No." He yawned.

"Oh, I see." The nurse checked the boy's notes. "Anaphylactic shock."

"A whaty what tic?"

"Anaphylactic, it means a strong allergic reaction." Hayden decided not to turn it into a human dictionary as the specific definition may have been a little worrying.

"Oh." He yawned again as the nurse checked all of his monitors.

"Still sleepy?" Ally wondered as she stroked his short blonde hair. The young boy nodded and curled into her, closing his eyes.

"That's perfectly normal. Nothing to worry about." The nurse assured. "I did try to call your father, but it went straight to voice mail. So, if you could maybe try and give him a call, or if he has another number you could try."

"Of course." Ally said.

"I'll be back to check on him in a little while."

A few minutes after the man left, Andy fell back to sleep.

"Did you want me to call your dad?" Heather offered.

"Don't bother." Ally declined at a whisper, still gently stroking her brother's hair.

"Ally, he needs to know what's going on." She whispered.

"He doesn't care." Ally informed her. "Otherwise he'd be here."

"He's on a business trip." Heather reminded. "It's hard to be here when you're in Tokyo."

"He's not."

"Not what?" Hayden wondered. "In Tokyo?"

"He's not on a business trip, he never was." She admitted.

"If he's not on a business trip, then where has he been since September?" Heather questioned. "And when's he coming back?" Ally let out a sad sigh as she gazed down at her little brother.

"Confession?" Hayden wondered. She nodded.

"He's in Spain." She admitted. "With his secretary. He's not coming back."

"What?" Hayden thought.

"I woke up one morning and there was a note on the kitchen counter. I didn't have the heart to tell Andy the truth. So I said he was on a business trip in Tokyo." She admitted.

"He just left?"

"Yes, okay. He left." Ally sighed. "He packed up his stuff and left us with the house. That's all he left. No money, no goodbye, nothing."

"Please tell me you've been eating!" Heather realized.

"Yes, I've been eating. Food, clothes, school. It's all coming from my mom's inheritance." She confessed.

"And the penthouse?" Hayden asked.

"The lease is paid up until my eighteenth birthday." She returned her gaze to the boy in her arms. "Then we're on our own."

"What are you gonna do?" Heather wondered.

"I have no idea." She admitted. "Probably just get an apartment somewhere in the city."

"Why didn't you just tell someone?" Heather sighed.

"I'm not eighteen yet." She reminded. "I'm not old enough to be his legal guardian. If they find out that my dad isn't coming back, they're gonna take him away and... I can't lose him. Not now. I promised my mom I would always take care of him, and that's exactly what I'm gonna do."

"Then you won't be alone," Hayden assured, grasping her hand. "We're a team. If you need anything, we'll be there."

"He's right. We're all here. And we all love you. You don't have to do this alone anymore." Heather agreed.

"Thanks, guys." She sniffled.

After twelve grueling hours, they were finally able to take Andy home.

"Sorry I ruined the Christmas party." Andy sighed as Hayden carried him into the penthouse.

"Hey, you didn't ruin anything." Hayden frowned. "Let's just get you to bed."

"I want to stay with you." He whined, reaching his arm out to his sister.

"I have to get home, Bud," Hayden explained. Andy let out the most adorable pout. "Oh, don't do that to me." Ally soon joined her brother and pouted. "I... fine." He caved.

"Yay!" The Blonde's cheered.
