"What in Thor's name is going on out here?!" The King bellowed as Heather led him and Hiccup out of the great hall to see Mr. Hunter on the floor, one arm caught beneath him, the other being held behind his back with Alyssa above him, pinning him to the ground.

"Alyssa?!" Hiccup shrieked as he noticed his girlfriend's split lip.

"I'm okay, Hiccup." She assured. "I told you. You don't need to worry about me."

"Of course." He rolled his eyes. "Faith, if you could please deal with Mr. Hunter."

"Right away, sir." Faith took over from Ally, allowing her to finally let him go. She sauntered towards Hiccup, who was quick to check her over.

"Hiccup, I'm fine." She repeated. Hiccup brought his thumb to the wound on her lower lip.

"Yeah, I'm sure you are." He stated sarcastically. Alyssa watched as they handcuffed her father and took him away.

"What's gonna happen to him?" She wondered.

"He'll most likely be charged with assault and neglect," Hayden explained. "Let's get you cleaned up. We have a party to get back to."

"Are you sure you're okay?" Hayden checked for the sixth time as they sauntered back into the party.

"Hiccup, I swear if you ask me that one more time..." The blonde glared.

"Okay, okay." He threw his hands up defensively. "No more." Ally spun around and stopped in front of him, holding her hand out, wriggling her fingers. "What are you doing?"

"I like this song." She explained. "And as it seems you won't be asking me to dance anytime soon... I thought maybe I should ask you."

"Alyssa, you know I can't dance."

"You managed to dance pretty well at the Christmas party." She reminded. "And you can skate pretty fluently. This should be easy for you." She grasped his hand, dragging him to the dance floor.

"Okay, just... no crazy moves this time, okay?" He pleaded. She smiled and nodded as he took her hand and twirled her into his arms.

They fell into step, letting the rhythm control their movements. All the scenery and people around them dissolved. It was just him and her, alone.

Her ocean eyes glistened, and a smile spread across her beautiful face.

Uncontrollable feelings surged through her body and her fingers tingled in delight. Hayden's hand brushed across her cheek. His body was acting on his own, no chains to hold him back from this pure paradise.

He drew her close to his chest, and she wrapped her arms around his neck.

Her golden locks fell over her eyes, like a curtain blocking out the fluorescent lights.

She began to withdraw her hand to brush away her hair, but Hayden's hand clutched onto hers. He carefully laid her small hand on his shoulder and delicately tucked her bangs behind her ear as her ocean eyes twinkled back at him.

She leaned in, resting her head against his shoulder, and whispered;

"So you do know how to dance, huh?"

"You got me." He admitted. "It's just... stage fright. I'm not used to being around so many people."

"I get that." Ally agreed. "But, you're doing great."
