"Two minutes thirty-six seconds," Heather stated as Alyssa finally calmed down. She gently turned her onto her side and pulled her mouth open to check her airways were clear.
"That's good right?" Hayden wondered as he gently tucked Ally's hair behind her ear. "If it's longer than five minutes she has to go to the hospital."
"Exactly." Heather agreed. "Just give her a few minutes. Is Andy asleep?"
"Yeah. Out like a light." Hayden confirmed.
"Good."
Ally wriggled in Heather's lap.
"There we go," Heather spoke softly. "Hey." A few moments passed and the blonde finally opened up her eyes and attempted to sit herself up. "Can you tell me your name?"
"Mmm." Alyssa groaned.
"Okay, we're not quite there yet." Heather smiled sadly. "That's okay."
The blonde started looking around and searching her pockets.
"Sweetie, what are you looking for?" Hayden wondered.
"Mmm." She looked towards him sleepily and leaned into his shoulder. His arm snaked around her instinctively.
"Can you tell me your name?" Heather asked again.
"Lili..." Alyssa muttered.
"Close enough." Hayden smiled.
"Can you tell me his name?" Heather pointed.
"Hayden."
"And your brother's name?"
"Andy."
"Okay. Good job." Heather handed the blonde a glass of water which she accepted gratefully.
"How are you feeling?" Hayden wondered.
"Nauseous." She admitted, taking a sip of water. "Where's Andy?"
"He's sleeping. Relax." Heather suggested. Ally nodded, taking another sip.
"She's right. Ally, this is your body's way of telling you to slow down." Hayden advised.
"I know that."
"But, you're not gonna stop, are you?" Heather sighed knowingly.
"Nope." Ally pushed herself off the ground and stumbled to her feet.
"Ally, I know it's been hard without your dad. I know taking care of Andy is hard work. Especially with school and homework and everything else, but now you're putting yourself at risk. Something has got to give." Heather explained.
"I don't think it's about that." Hayden furrowed his brow in conversation. He was deep in thought. He turned to Ally who was stood with her arms folded, facing the opposite direction.
"I have to clean the kitchen."
"Oh no, you don't!" Heather scowled, grabbing the blonde by the shoulders and pulling her back towards the couch. "Sit." She guided her back until her legs hit the seat, forcing her down. "You too." Hayden did as told.
"Goody two shoes." Ally teased him.
"She scares me, okay." He chuckled.
"You two are going to sit and watch a movie and I am going to clean up the kitchen."
"Bu-"
"No buts..." Heather interrupted. "Relax. Both of you."

"I'm gonna get a drink," Hayden said halfway through the movie. "Do you want anything?"
"No thanks. Can you check on Andy for me though?" She requested.
"Sure."
Hayden left to do just that.
"ALLY!" The girls raced to him faster than they thought possible.
"What is it?!" Ally shrieked.
Hayden stood in Andy's room and glanced over at an empty dresser. He turned over the piece of paper he held in his hand. It read, in very shaky writing;
Sorry, I cause so much trouble.
Andy X"He's gone."
