Jen stood in front of her bedroom mirror. She held up two dresses. One long sleeve black one that hit her mid thigh and had a low neckline. The fabric was a velvet material. The other, a two piece dark maroon shirt and top. Jen chose the black one. She felt more confident in black. It was classic, flattering, and always sexy. She didn't want to try to hard. She didn't want to make it seem like she was trying to impress him. Loki that is. He was her boss over all. And she still wasn't sure if this was a date or not. There wasn't a rule at Mischief and Lux that you couldn't date your coworkers. But dating your boss? That was a line Jen wasn't sure she was willing to cross.

It was 7:55pm and Jen stood in the lobby of her apartment building. She paced back and forth looking at her phone. Three missed calls and five texts from Amanda. Jen told Amanda about the awkward conversation she had with Loki the night before and Amanda went nuts for it. She had been bombarding Jen with calls and texts all day. Jen stopped replying after a while. She was already anxious enough.

At 8:00pm Jen walked out of the apartment building doors and saw a sleek black SUV pulled up. The back tinted window rolled down and Loki was sitting in the back seat facing forward looking at his watch.

"Get in." He said looking at his watch. Jen walked to the SUV and the driver walked out and opened the door for her. She smiled at the driver then got into the vehicle. Loki was fiddling with his watch and didn't even acknowledge her. The SUV started to drive down the road for a few minutes when Loki finally spoke.

"Allergies?" Loki asked now turning his attention to Jen.

"Uh just sulfa. Why?" Jen replied.

"Making sure not to kill you with my choice of meal for this evening." Loki replied. His tone demanding. His cocky, know it all attitude was gone. And in it's place was someone who wished to rule over their date instead of impress them.

"Did I do something to piss you off? I mean other than calling you an asshole. Again... sorry about...that." Jen said messing with the hem of her dress. Loki placed his hand on her hand that was messing with the fabric. She froze. His touch was cold, but a good cold. The type of cold that soothed aching muscles. The type of cold that comforted you when a fever struck.

Jen stopped messing with her dress and looked at Loki. His stare piercing and his face stern. "Long annoying day. Nothing to do with you." Loki said flatly. Jen nodded her head a few times in understanding then took a deep breath in.

A few minutes later the SUV pulled to a stop in front of a flashy sushi restaurant. The driver opened the passenger side door and Loki stepped out. He leaned into the car and held his hand out for Jen to take it. He helped her out of the car and the two headed inside the restaurant. Loki never let go of Jens hand as they walked to the hostess of the restaurant.

"Name?" The blonde, tall, and blue eyed hostess said with a smile.

"Odinson. Two." Loki said with a grin. The hostess smiled and tapped on her tablet for a moment.

"Follow me." The hostess said and lead Loki and Jen towards a table in the back of the restaurant. The restaurant was a new one in downtown LA. It was super colorful and had massive tanks filled with beautiful exotic fish in them. The seats were plush and vibrant in color and the drinks were just as vibrant. As Loki and Jen sat at their table the hostess placed two menu's in front of them but Loki waved a hand.

"Tell Jim that Loki is here with his date. He will know what to do." Loki said handing the menu's back to her. The hostess blushed as Loki winked at her. Jen rolled her eyes. Was he really flirting with another woman while on a date with her?

"So this is a date?" Jen said crossing her legs and raising an eyebrow. Her loosely curled hair falling over her shoulders as she adjusted her sitting position.
