Fred POV
I woke up the next morning groaning remembering everything that happened last night. I sat up running my hands through my hair frustratedly.

"I'm an idiot," I muttered.
I then heard a knock on the door. Before I could answer George slowly walked in. He sat beside me.

"How are you doing mate?"
"Miserable," I replied.
"Shell come back soon. Don't worry about being at the shop. Lee's covering you."
"Thanks, but I'll be down later. I need to keep my mind busy."
"Okay, Freddie." He gave me a small smile before leaving my room.

Once George left I began to get ready for the day. I turned to see Errol flying towards me. I quickly ran over to my window and open it for him.

Luckily he crashed onto my bed giving him a soft landing. I got nervous as I untied the letter. I gave him a snack and he flew back high in the sky.

I immediately recognized it as my mums' handwriting. I felt a knot start to form in my stomach as I opened the letter.

Dear Freddie,
I know you have work, but do you think y/n and you can stop by the Burrow for a little bit? It's just a quick check-in to see how things are going on your end. Hope to see you both very soon.

Mum

I sighed as I left my room and went downstairs to the shop.
It wasn't that busy inside because the school year started, but I knew George and Lee were busy with mail-in orders.

I walked to the back seeing them at work.
"Hey, Fred. You joining to help?" Lee asked still working.
"No. Mum invited me to the Burrow, so I'll be gone for a little bit." George looked up worried.
"Okay. That should be interesting." Lee looked at us both confused but didn't say a word.

I left without another word and went to our fireplace to use the floo network.
"To the Burrow." I threw the Floo powder into the ground and was engulfed in green flames.

I walked out of the fireplace brushing off the ashes.
"Fred? Y/n? Is that you?" Mum came rushing over from the kitchen, but stopped in her tracks, only seeing me.

"Where's y/n?" She asked me while pulling me into a hug.
"She was busy today." I lied, but my mums' eyes narrowed.
"Tell me the truth." She folded her arms slightly glaring at me.

I knew I couldn't lie to her. I looked at the ground shamelessly.
"Something happened," I muttered. She let out a small gasp.
"Is the wedding-" I cut her off.
"I-I don't know." I felt tears began to fall and my mum rushed to me in a warm embrace. I hugged her back tightly.

She sat me down on the couch.
"What happened?" She asked softly.
"Y/n kept something a secret for me for so long. I overheard her speaking to George and I had a big outburst. I didn't give her a chance to talk and then she yelled at me. I deserve it, but she left." I couldn't look at my mums' eyes.

She lifted my chin to force me to look at her.
"It was just a little bit of miscommunication. Did she leave for good?"
"No, she said she would come back in a few days. It was for me to think if I still I want to marry her."
"And do you?"
"With no doubt in my mind."
"And does she?"
"Yes, but I hurt her really bad mum."

"I'm sure it wasn't that bad." She tried to reassure me.
"I practically accused her of not loving me."
"Now why on earth would you say that?!" She smacked my head.

"Because there was this book. A book only y/n could read and not Percy. The reason why is because she accepted death and told her she should've just left me." My mums' eyes widened. Her expression was mixed. I saw anger, but empathy at the same time.

"Oh Fred," she shook her head.
"She loves you with all her heart. She's gone through hell with you but still sticks right beside you. Remember how hard it was for her when she lost Rosie? That was your first child and was in a dark place, but you helped each other to heal."

"I know," I muttered.
"Do you think everything will be alright with us?"
"Yes. I do not doubt in my mind." I gave her a big hug.

"Thanks, mum," I whispered.
"Anytime," she replied.

Y/N POV
"You should go back. It's been five days." Luna and I were in her room.
"I don't know Luna. I'm ready, but is Fred?"
"I think you've put Fred through torture not being able to see you. I'm pretty sure he regretted it right after it all happened."

I let Luna's words sink in.
"You're probably right," I admitted.
"Now go back to your fiancé." She encouraged me and I slightly chuckled.

"Thank you both so much for letting me stay." I thanked Luna and her dad.
"Your welcome here anytime." Luna kindly smiled.
"Here you go y/n." Xenophilius handed me some Quibblers.
"Thank you. I love these." I placed them in my bag.

I walked outside taking a deep breath. My nerves were coming back, but I pushed them away. I took only one more look at Luna and her father before apparating to the flat.

I was surprised to see no one here since the twins didn't have work. If anything they all were hanging out. I let it be and walked towards me and Fred's room.

I opened the door and placed my bag against the door.
"Y/n?" I jumped a little. I looked up to realize Fred was laying on the bed. I just froze not knowing what to say first.

He just got up from the bed and rushed towards me. Fred picked me up in a tight hug and placed me back on the ground.

"I'm sorry." We said at the same time.
"I'm so sorry I overreacted and said those horrible things to you. I want you to know I didn't mean any of it." He had a strong grip on my hands.

"And I'm sorry for keeping it a secret. I should've just told you in the first place." He leaned his forehead against mine and we stayed in peaceful silence.

"I love you so much y/n and I still want to marry you," Fred whispered.
"I love you too Fred. With all my heart." He then looked into my eyes.

"So is the wedding still on?" He asked a little nervous.
"It was never off. I still kept my ring on this whole time." I showed him my hand still having my ring and he smiled.

"I'm so lucky to have you in my life y/n." He cupped my face and gently pulled me towards him. Our lips connected quickly becoming deep and passionate.

At that moment I knew that no matter what me and Fred will always have each other. And nothing was ever going to get between us.
