Making Amends

Y/N POV
I woke and smiled seeing Fred still sleeping. It felt amazing to have him right beside me. We only had two months until the wedding and still lots to do.

Fred started to shift a little and slowly began to open his eyes.
"Good morning handsome." I greeted him with a smile.
"Good morning love." He leaned in giving me a quick kiss.

"Do you have any plans for today?" He asked.
"I had one in mind and you have to come with me."
"Why do I have to?" He complained.
"Because it's a late invitation. I want to personally invite them."
"Who?" He asked curiously.
"The Malfoy family." His eyes widened at the name.

"No that's not happening." He sat up.
"Yes, it is." I sat up as well.
"Why them?"
"May I remind you that two out of three are practically the reason why I'm still alive? Besides even Lucius is trying to change. I forgave them and have accepted them. I don't care what pass you have with them, but I would love for you to make amends." I said sternly crossing my arms.

"Is it what you really want?" He asked.
"Yes," I replied.
"You're lucky I love you." I squealed as I hugged him tightly.
"Thank you."
"Anything for you love."

"You ready?" I asked Fred.
"I guess so." He muttered.
"Cheer up." I nudged him.

We apparated to the Malfoy Manor. We landed on the gravel in front of big gates. The gates automatically began to open. Me and Fred looked at each other before walking to the huge mansion.

I knocked on one of the huge doors.
"And please don't act like a child with Draco," I warned Fred.
"I don't act like a child with him. As long as that git doesn't make any snarky comments." I rolled my eyes.

We waited a few more moments before the door opened and was greeted by Narcissa.
"Y/n? What are you doing here?" She pulled me into a quick hug.
"I wanted to talk to you, Draco, and Lucius. Fred would like to say a few things."

"Of course. Come in." We entered inside and it was weird not to see so many death eaters everywhere.

"Please follow me." She guided us to the huge living room where Draco was reading and Luscious was just walking around.

"We have visitors," they both looked up to see me and Fred.
"It's good to see you y/n." Draco hugged me and I hugged back.
"It's good to see you too." I felt Fred's hand go one on my waist pulling me closer to him.

"Malfoy," Fred greeted him.
"Weasley," he replied. They both began some glaring contest.
"Cut it you two." I snapped my fingers in front of them. They both broke out of their daze.

"What's the reason behind your visit?" Lucius took a seat in an armchair.
"As you know I have accepted your family and have let your past stay there."
"And we are grateful for that." Narcissa thanked me. I softly smiled.

"Now Fred what would you like to say to them?" He looked at me with pleading eyes. I pulled back crossing my arms. He sighed knowing that I won.

"I wanted to say that I would like to make amends with your family as well. I know our families haven't had the best past, but I would like to change that." They all looked at him shocked.

"I can't speak for the Weasley family, but I can for myself. I would like to start fresh with you all and hopefully, the rest of my family will one day." I nodded my head in approval.

"That means a lot, Fred. Thank you." Narcissa was the first to speak up.
"Is there anything you two would like to add?" Narcissa looked at Lucius and Draco.

"Thank you, Mr. Weasley." Luscious nodded his head.
"Draco?" Narcissa urged him. He sighed before responding.

"I hope we can leave our past behind. And sorry for always making fun of your family. I guess it's because a part of me was jealous of how close yours was." Fred looked shocked but regained himself. He offered his hand and Draco gave it a firm shake.

"Was that's so hard?" I muttered and Narcissa laughed at my comment.
"Is that all?" She asked.
"Now that things are forgiven. Me and Fred would like to personally invite you to our wedding." I took out the invitation from my back pocket and handed it to her.

"We would love to go. Thank you." She smiled gratefully and we returned it.
"I'm sorry, but we better get going," I said.
"No worries. We'll see you at the wedding." I took turns hugging them except Luscious. We just shook hands. Fred hugged Narcissa but shook hands with Draco and Luscious.

We walked out back onto the gravel path.
"You see? Was that so hard?" Fred chuckled.
"I guess not. Thank you."
"For what?"
"If it wasn't for you I probably would still hate Draco's guts, but I saw a new side of him." He admitted and I smiled proudly.

"I already saw that side a long time ago."
"If I didn't know better I would say he fancied you at some point."
"He did. He admits it to me, but knew that I was in love with you." I didn't want Fred to get mad.

"It's a good thing he didn't try to make a move on you because then we'll have a problem."
"So you're fine with that right?" I was slightly worried.
"Yes don't worry." He chuckled.
"Good. Now let's go back to the flat."
"As you wish." He offered his arm and I took it.

We arrived in front of the shop this time.
"Ladies first," Fred bowed holding the door for me.
"Why thank you, kind sir." I kissed his cheek before walking inside. I then saw George, Angelina, and Lee.

"Hey, Lee. What are you doing here?" I asked.
"This should be good," George smirked and Angelina elbowed him.
"I wanted to talk to the both of you." He rubbed the back of his neck.

"Is something wrong?" Fred asked.
"No. I just wanted you to meet my girlfriend before the wedding because I don't want it to be awkward."
"Why would it be awkward?" I questioned him.

"Babe you can come out from hiding now." Me and Fred looked at each other confused as to what was going on. Then I saw her walking out from the hallway that leads to the office.

"Your joking," Fred turned to Lee in disbelief.
"You both know Katie. Well, she's my girlfriend." I was speechless.

"And when did this happen?" Fred continued to do the talking.
"Shortly after the battle. Things just kind of happened." Lee shrugged.

"As long as your happy Lee then I have no problem with it." Fred smiled.
"Y/n?" Lee turned to me.

"Remember to let the past be behind us." Fred leaned in and whispered in my ear.
"You using my own words against me?" I whispered back. He just shrugged while smirking.

I turned to Katie seeing her uncomfortable.
"The past is in the past. I'm not going to have what happened back at school be against you." I sighed giving a small smile.
"Thank you," she gave me a tight hug. I just stood there before hugging her back.

"I thought there was going to be drama," George complained.
"We're mature adults," I responded.
"Sure," he rolled his eyes.

"This causes for a drink," Fred spoke up and George pulled out some fire whiskey with some glasses from a cabinet.

"Why do you have fire whiskey down here?" I slightly laughed.
"Sometimes a hard day of work deserves some rewarding." George simply replied handing me a glass.

"To new beginnings," Fred announced.
"To new beginnings." We all replied putting our drinks in the air before chugging our drinks.

Me and Fred were in our room after having a few drinks with everyone.
"Today was interesting." Fred laid beside me.
"Tell me about it. I don't think I ever imagined forgiving Katie until today."

"You knew it meant a lot to Lee."
"I know. Just like it was important to me for you to forgive the Malfoy's." I responded.
"The things we do for the people we love."
"It's all worth it in the end." I cuddled closer to him.
"Yes, it is." Fred simply replied kissing my head.

A/N-Sorry I haven't been that active. Haven't been in the right mindset to post any new chapters, but hopefully, I can post more soon😊
