The station

Gabriella's POV

OMG !!!! I actually can't believe it, mama had actually remembered to bring me to the fire station, I had been thinking about this moment none stop since the fire fighters came to my new school !! I knew my mama had been busy with her new job so I didn't want to keep asking her to bring me, but she actually remembered!!!!! "Mama !!! Thank you, I thought you had forgotten" "never my bambina, I knew that you were really excited to come to the station, so I wanted to surprise you to make this day extra special. Even though I could have just shown around the hospital which would have been just as exciting" as she says that I chuckle "come on mama you know that's not true, a hospital has beds and surgery things, while a fire station has trucks, lights, sirens, fire mans poles, should I go on ?" "No no honey it's fine, let's get you inside" mama says as she and I both get out the car and walk into the fire station.

We are not really sure where the entrance is so we walk around the side of the fire station, until we see a door that looks like an entrance. Mama opens the door for me and we both walk in. When we walk in there is no one there so we are not sure what to do so we just stand at the front desk in until someone comes. We then hear a door open. "Can I help y-........ agh Gabriella, you made it, you must be Gabriella's mother, nice to meet you, I'm captain Maya Bishop" " Buongiorno captain bishop in doctor Carina Deluca, it's very nice to meet you, thank you for inviting my bambina to your station, she has not stopped going on about your visit to her school" my mama said to maya as I just stood there. "Well that's no problem at all, I could see that miss gabby really enjoyed us being there and she mentioned to me that she wanted to be a firefighter, and I love in inspiring new minds..... The rest of the crew is up stairs, I'll introduce you"

Captain Maya then lead us up the tall stair case and into the kitchen area where there was a long table surrounded by many male and female firefighters. "Team listen up, this is Gabriella Deluca, she is one of the students at st Ambrose school where we visited on Monday and I invited her to come check out the fire station. So Gabriella at station 19 we have 4 different shift teams, we are team A and over there is, Miller, hughes, Herrera, Sullivan, Montgomery, Gibson and Warren". As soon as  she introduced the team to me they all said "hello" in unison. "It's nice to meet you" I replied with. "Okay so now all the introductions are over and done with why don't I show you around the station" "thank you that sounds awesome"

As soon as we leave, what we learnt was actually called the beanery captain Maya shows me around the rest of the station. She starts by showing me where they all hang out when they are not on a call. It's full of comfy seats, games and a TV. I'd love to hang out in there one day. After that we then moved into the gym, which wasn't particularly exciting, because you know, it's a gym. The rest of the upstairs was then just full of meeting and storage rooms and stuff like that. I thought we were going to go down the stairs but captain Maya had a better idea, the firefighters pole!!!!!!!!!!! I was not sure if this fire house had one but they did and I can't wait to go down it. "Mama please can you video me going down" I asked mama just before I was about to go down. "Well I think it would be better if I stood at the bottom then, I'll just head back down" "no no no not so fast doctor Deluca, it's very rear that I let people go down my pole, so your not getting out of it that fast, you can go down first" said captain Maya. I think mama was very unsure but after a lot of convincing mama finally went down the pole and landed at the bottom. "Okay now it's your turn Gabriella, I'll be right behind you and then I will show you the trucks. And with that I slid down the pole with Mama taking a video of me. "THAT WAS SO AWESOME" I said as I landed on the bottom .

Once Captain Maya had slid down the pole she started to show me both fire trucks again, truck and ladder 19. But this time she went into so much detail compared to at the school, I was loving it so much. Once she had finished showing me the trucks she went to show me the ambulance. "Ah Montgomery, is it okay if you show miss Gabriella around the ambulance and tell her some cool facts ?" "That's no problem at all bishop, happy to help" "thanks montgomery..... so Gabriella, I have some paper work to do but Travis here is going to show you around the ambulance because he's much better at the ambulance stuff than I am, but make sure you come and say bye before you leave".

Once Captain Maya leaves Travis shows me all around the ambulance. It's so much fun and I am learning so much. I'm so glad captain Maya invited me and I'm so glad Mama brought me because today's had been a very special day.

Carina's POV

I actually can't believe how nice this captain bishop is letting Gabriella see the fire station, she is just so great  and has much a great connection with Gabriella, and who knew female firefighters could be so hot.

Once the male firefighter was occupying Gabriella, I thought it would be a great time to slip out and go talk to captain bishop to thank her, so I walk back to the front entrance and knock on what I believe is her office door. "Come on in" I hear from the other side of the room. So with that I walk in. "Ah doctor Deluca" "honestly you don't have to call me that Carina is fine captain Bishop" I replied. "And you don't have to call me captain, Maya is fine" there was then a long awkward silence. "Is there anything in particular you wanted carina" "ah Si, I just wanted to say grazie for inviting my bambina over to your fire station, monday was actually her first ever day at that school since we moved here from Italy and she was so nervous when she walked in, but when she came out she was like a completely new person, she was so happy that you had visited the school, she learnt so much and has not stopped going on about coming here, and as soon as we walked in here I could just see this huge smile come on her face, a smile I have not seen in a very long time, so Thank you!" I told her. "Well it's my pleasure, I could see that she was very excited and she can come back to the fire station any day she wants to, it would be lovely to see her again...And you" she says to me, saying the 'and you' bit very quietly, I acted like I didn't hear her, but I did. "Thank you so much, I'll be sure to let her know, is there anyway that I can repay you or anything?" "No no no, there is no need to repay me, I'm just doing what I love and inspiring new female minds into becoming a fire fighter" she tells me.

Then Gabriella comes running in with a doughnut in her hand. "Mama mama mama the ambulance was so cool and Travis gave me a doughnut because I got some questions right, it was too awesome !!!" My daughter told me. "Well then it looks like you had fun Ella Bella, Maya said that you could come by anytime you like, isn't that cool?! but for now I think we should be getting you home, you have had a really long day, say thank you to maya" I tell her as a big smile appears on her face when I mention about  coming back. "Thank you captain Maya" Gabriella says as she hugs maya goodbye. "Your ever so welcome Gabriella, I will see you soon". "Well thank you again it's been a great day and hopefully we will see you soon, bye Maya" I said as I walk out the station.

Sorry guys I didn't post the new chapter last night, it wasn't quite ready and I wanted the first marina interaction to be good 😌
