After a wonderful day, the four of us didn't feel like separating too soon, so we spontaneously decided to have dinner together as well. It was the perfect arrangement. Food crazies Jisoo and Rosé were sharing three different dishes they wanted to try and Lisa and I picked out two veggie dishes to share between us. The four of us was a match made in heaven. Lisa joked around with me like she had the night we met. It was light and easy with a hint of flirtation, mostly on her part as I was still very unsure on what to do or say. However I managed to brush her hand with mine several times, making it seem coincidental, only it was totally on purpose.
And ever since my little talk with Rosé on the scooter, I felt a lot closer to her as well. She kept smiling at me conspiratorial, like we shared this big secret. Which, we kind of did. I really hoped she wouldn't tell Lisa what I said.
When Jisoo and I came back to our rooms, the first thing I did was take a long shower. It felt so good to get rid of the light layer of sweat mixed with salt water from the ocean.
Freshly showered, I threw myself on my big white bed, taking my phone with me. I wanted to check if I could find Lisa's Instagram through Rosé's profile. I had spotted a photo of them together before and hoped Lisa's profile was maybe tagged on it.
No, I'm not a stalker....
I'm not!But before I could scroll down on her feed to look for the picture I was looking for, I got a new notification.
Jichu has added you to the group chat 'BALI GIRLZ☀️'
I clicked on it. It said that an unknown number had created the group (most likely Rosé) and had added another unknown number (Lisa!) and Jisoo's number. And now Jisoo had added me into the mix. I stared at my phone and my heart beat was beating out of control. I had Lisa's number. Right in front of me. Without even having to ask for it awkwardly.
I clicked on the number I was sure was Rosie's and added her to my contacts. Then with jittery fingers I also added Lisa. I sent a happy smiling emoji to the group chat and waited for something to happen. I saw Rosie typing.
Rosie: Hey girlz, I thought we needed a group chat! So here it is. Do you have any plans for tomorrow? Lisa and me really like hanging out with the two of you so we thought why not ask to make it a regular thing ;) Jen, I know you have a list of stuff you want to see. So just tell me and maybe we could do them together???
Jichu: Ah Wooohooooo! Group chat!!!
I started typing. While I did so, Jisoo was spaming the chat with a lot of random and unnecessary emojis. Jisoo style.
Jen: Do you guys wanna come for breakfast at our place tomorrow morning and we can decide what we'll do?
It was an impuls decision and I hoped Jisoo was fine with it but she assured me instantly when her next message popped up on my screen.
Jichu: Good idea Mandu!
I rolled my eyes at the nickname. Then I saw that Lisa was typing and my heart stopped for a second. I waited for her message rather nervously.
Lisa: Yes, we'd love to come over! @Jichu: What does Mandu mean?
Even though i was alone in my room, my ears were heating up and my pulse was going erratic at this one little message that Lisa sent. I must be absolutely going crazy. How did this happen to me? I saw Jisoo answering her on the screen.
Jichu: Mandu means dumpling in korean. It's her cheeks. So fluffy like Mandu! :D
I typed.
Jen: Jisoo u r dead! x(
Lisa only sent a laughing emoji and so did Rosé.
Rosie: What time should we come over?
Jichu: Breakfast at 10? I wanna sleep in!
We all agreed on that one and wrote our goodnights. I got under the covers and snuggled into my blanket with my phone and went back to my earlier task of instagram stalking. However, before I even got to the photo I wanted to see, a new message popped up on my notifications.
A message from Lisa. A private message from Lisa.
Lisa texted me! Oh my god! I held my breath when I clicked on it.
Lisa: Hi Mandu! :D
I softly laughed and stared at her message. Before I even thought of a reply, I clicked on her profile picture. It was a picture of her with a little cat in her arms. So cute! She hasn't told me she has a cat at home. I got a little lost in her soft eyes that looked so lovingly at the furball in her arms in the picture. I took a deep breath before I went back to her message and began to type.
Jen: I am not a Mandu! Jisoo is crazy ;D
I saw Lisa instantly starting to type out a reply. My soft happy smile turned into a full blown wide grin that hurt the corners of my mouth. I felt giddy all over. Lisa was texting me!
Lisa: Do you prefer kitten, then?
I rolled my eyes, still grinning wide.
Jen: Don't make me block you!^^
I wanted to tease her a little.
Lisa: You would never do that to me!^^
I didn't really know what I should answer, so I deterred the conversation.
Jen: Is that your cat in the picture?
Lisa: Yes, his name is Leo. But that's an older picture. He's not that little anymore unfortunately...
Jen: He's probably still cute
Lisa: Yes, cute and fat. I need to put him on a diet... been spoiling him a bit too much
Lisa: a friend is looking after him right now, but I bet he's gonna spoil him as well...
I replied with a laughing emoji. Lisa was typing again.
Lisa: Looking forward to seeing you again tomorrow, kitten
I smirked and I felt my cheeks heat, despite me being alone in my room.
Jen: *LaLisa Manoban blocked*
Of course I was only joking.
Jen: just kidding *kiss emoji*
Oh shit! I just realized what I had done. Why did i send her a kiss emoji??? Was that too much? I hadn't really thought about it. My fingers had been faster than my brain. And most of all, why the hell did I freak out over a stupid emoji!? Most of the time, they didn't really mean anything anyway. With wide eyes I saw Lisa typing.
Lisa: good night Jen
My heart dropped into my stomach a little. I felt deflated all of a sudden. Did I fuck up already? Then I saw her typing again.
Lisa: *kiss emoji*
I started squealing into my pillow.
