It was 4:30am in the morning and we were hiking up Bali's most famous vulcano to watch the sunrise at the very top. It had been hard getting the other three to agree on doing this with me. But they all caved in the end.

Lisa had been somewhat wary of my request but she never really said no

Lisa had been somewhat wary of my request but she never really said no. So I took that as a yes. Rosé did love her sleep but the sense of this being an adventure, lured her into agreeing in the end. And Jisoo told me flat out how batshit crazy I was for wanting to get up this early to hike up a vulcano in the semi darkness. Long story short: despite plenty of complaining from my companions, we all made it out of bed and up the dormant vulcano.

"My legs are hurting so much! You owe me for this big time Jendeuk!" Jisoo whined loudly, walking behind me. Rosé was walking by my side and we were marvelling at the gorgeous scenery. The view was stunning and it was about to get even better once we were at the top.

"Stop whining you child!" I turned my head slightly around to watch Jisoo's pouty face for a second. It almost made me laugh. She really looked like a sleep deprived, unhappy little toddler. She grumbled lowly to herself and I knew they were curse words that she didn't really mean.

Lisa was uncharacteristically quiet this morning. Waking her up had been the easiest task out of all of them. I had simply thrown myself on her sleeping figure and had pestered her with kisses until she moved. Of course her first instinct had been to pull me under the covers with her and give in to temptation for a little while but I resisted. As hard as that had been, seeing the sun rise over Bali, would hopefully be worth it. We could still give in a little later on in the day...

I shot Lisa a glance over my shoulder. Checking if she was still alive and well. I wasn't used to her being so quiet. Her dark eyes met mine and she actually tried to give me a happy smile despite how tired I knew she was. It made my heart jump. This girl. Sometimes I thought that Lisa might really do anything for me. Was that too bold to assume? Felt like it though. I gave her my gummy smile in return and reached an arm out towards her. She moved to clasp our hands together and I used all my morning-person-energy to pull her along a little. To make her way up easier for a while.

"That's not fair!" Jisoo piped up again, looking back and forth between me and Lisa. Louder this time. "I want to be pulled too! Changiieeee, help meeeee!"

I looked over at Rosé's face and saw a tiny blush coat her cheeks while a soft smile spread across her lips. She turned around to face Jisoo. "Ok, come here, you big baby!" She offered her hand and Jisoo latched herself on like an octopus.

"We almost made it, guys. Not much longer." I promised them, looking forward. I could already see the top. It got a bit exhausting to pull Lisa along behind me but I didn't really mind. I knew if I was the one who was tired, she would probably carry me up this mountain on her back or something stupid like that.

Within ten more minutes of hiking we finally made it to the very top. We weren't the only ones crazy enough to get up so early for a sunrise. There were a couple other people already there. Some even had professional looking camera equipment built up and ready to go in front of them.
