"Now, Xanadu, let's show them why we need June," I told her. She nodded her head and started chanting her spells, a lot more than when she showed us. "Xanadu, why are you using more spells?" Her voice rose up to a higher volume, and the speed of her spells increased as well, magic sparks flying around the room as the wind picked up. A few seconds later, they were returned to normal. "Why in the hell did you put more spells on them than us?!"
"Well, Zatanna, showing already magical beings the future is much easier than showing no-mags the end of the world," she responded. "Ready to listen to us now?" She asked Lyla's parents and Waller. "Lyla. Get Dr. Moon," Lyla's mom commanded. She nodded her head and walked out, coming back in a few minutes with a twenty-something year old girl with brown hair pulled back into a tight middle-height bun and brown eyes with glasses. (The Suicide Squad ver) "Ms. Waller, Mr. and Mrs. Michaels, you called for me? Who are these people?"
"Hello, June. My name is Zatanna Zatara, and this is John Constantine, Madame Xanadu, and Boston Brand."
"I'm familiar with the name, but, why are you looking for a fresh-out-of college medical graduate from New York? And, that can't surely be the girl's name," she responded. "Well, if you absolutely have to know, Dr. Moon, my name is Nimue Inwudu. Now. I understand that you are apart of Task Force X, or the Suicide Squad, and apart of A.R.G.U.S. custody, but, I require your... other side's help with this. If you will."
"I would highly advise against this, as there are no anti-magic wards to keep her other side's powers in check," Waller cut in.
"I need to speak to the Enchantress," Xanadu said. "And I am going to, one way or another. Am I understood?"
"You are in no position to make demands, fortune-teller," Waller responded. "On the contrary, Waller. Since you lifted those magic barriers, I have every power in my arsenal at my disposal, and I most definitely overpower any little guns you might have against me. Besides, I can very easily force the Enchantress out, but, I'd prefer if Dr. Moon here allowed her other side out willingly," she reminded. "Nimue, no. Don't you dare even think of using any spells, not even the smallest spell, do I make myself clear?"
"Crystal, Zatanna. All I'm asking is to speak with Ms. Moon's... other half. Just for a moment," she requested. "Fine. Dr. Moon, if you will." June pulled her glasses off her face, closing them and then handed them to me. "Enchantress," June whispered, her body going into a transformation, a shadowy and mysterious, still somewhat beautiful figure standing in her place. "Alright, Dr. Moon, you're going to listen to these people here, and comply to everything they want you to do. Am I understood?" She nodded her head and faced us. "What is it you require of me, Madame Xanadu?" Enchantress asked in a shadowy voice.
"I want you to join us. There is something that ends up being the end of the world if we do not intervene. I have looked through every possible future, and I only see one where the world survives, the one where I bring everyone here together, and where we work together."
"Anything you require, Xanadu."
"Well, then, I think I have an idea about where we can station for now. I can finally put that place I won in a game to use. What you lot say 'bout the House of Mystery?"
"Oh, no, no, no. Dr. Moon stays under our watch," Waller protested. "Look, this is on our terms, Waller. You want me to not incinerate this place in a second with a single spell? The witch comes with us," Xanadu bargained. "Fine," Mrs. Michaels spat. "But, let me make one thing clear. Enchantress slips up once, and she pays with her life. Am I clear?"
"Yes, ma'am, crystal," we responded. "So, House of Mystery?" John asked. We all agreed. John opened a portal, motioning for us to go through. June did first, then Boston flew into it as Xanadu followed. "Thank you for this. This will be worth it. I promise."
