Failing to fall asleep wasn't the only thing on my mind,

Him. He's all I could think about, laying next to me so peacefully.

"Newt?"

"Hmm."

"I can't sleep."

"Why's that love?" He responds in a sleepy voice,

"I've been thinking..." my voice trails off,

"About?"

His hand slides from my waist down to my thighs,

I sigh quietly, "you."

He moved slowly from his spot, careful not to make too much noise in our bunk,

I looked up to him as he leaned in to kiss me,

He gently pushed my legs open,

He slid his hand up, closer and closer,

"Tell me what you need love."

"Newt please, don't make me say it."

He stares into my eyes as he carefully unbuttons my pants, he unzips my jeans revealing my panties,

My breath hitches,

His eyes travel down my body,

Then back up again,

He lifts my shirt up, leaning down to kiss my stomach, leaving love marks,

He mumbles things with each kiss,

"Gorgeous, beautiful, perfect."

He pulls my jeans down, all the while his lips never left my body.

Every touch sent a shiver down my spine,

Every kiss, making me more wet.

My stomach swarmed with butterflies.

Suspense, the risk, it flooded my mind,

We weren't alone.

It was a night never to be shared.

We fell asleep with our fingers intertwined,

More in love than ever before.

My mind,

I couldn't help thinking,

After a night as perfect as this.

I would always cherish these moments,

Because what I've learned through my journey is that,

Good things never last.

They can be taken away as quickly as they came.
