When someone said "Love is painfully beautiful", you felt that. It indeed is beautiful like a morning Sun and painful as a stormy day. But there are certain times, when these two fall together. A thundering storm on a sunny day. Painful yet beautiful. That's what love is for you.

Walking down the stone studded footpath, you smiled as the mild breeze brushed pass your hair. It tickled around your neck and made you flinch a little. The usually silent streets around the neighborhood were quite busy today as you were getting back from your workplace.

You walked down the path some more until you reached the park by the end of your house's lane. The small park had a few cherry blossom trees and under each tree were kept some wooden benches. The soothing breeze filled with the sweet smell of pink blossoms making you nostalgic.

You looked inside the park and saw many people there. Some were teaching their children to ride a bike while some were just lying down on each others stomach reading some books.

Your gaze suddenly fell towards the one tree you were very familiar with. The biggest tree amongst the others in the park with a wooden brown bench placed beneath it.

There was an elderly couple sitting on the bench and they had their fingers intertwined with each other resting on the woman's lap.

They were giggling about something and the scene reminded you very much of your own someone special. The smile on your face quickly got replaced with a sad one. As you saw the couple kissing each other one last time before holding hands once again and leaving the park in silence.

You couldn't stop your steps and in a few seconds, you were standing under that tree. You placed your bag on the seat and looked up at the branches. The wind blew and a few of cherry blossom petals came pouring on you.

"Good evening to you too specs" you giggled a little as you greeted towards the tree. The wind blew again and messed up your hair a little.

"Hey!! It took me almost an hour to get them like that. You can't always do that" you mumbled pouting afterwards and sat down on the seat beneath the tree.

As you sat down, a leaf fell from the branch above you near your fingers. You picked it up and a small tear escaped your eye. You closed your eyes and the rush of memories stormed your thoughts.

Flashback (2 years ago)

It was almost winter and you were about to leave for your college. You were in your final year of college and now were getting late since you've already missed the bus.

You hurriedly ran out of the lane only to get a single glance of your bus leaving the last station. You chased after it for a while but your legs eventually gave up.

You held your heart that was about to explode with all the blood rushing through your body. As soon as your breathing got back to normal, you swallowed thickly and looked around.

You were standing infront of the park you use to pass by every morning. It was surprisingly empty despite the fact that it was weekend. You were looking around when your eyes fell on someone sitting under the biggest tree in the park, a boy.

It was the same boy you saw yesterday and day before yesterday. In fact, you've been watching him sit under that tree for almost two weeks now.

Today he wore a green sweater vest, round glasses and was supposedly reading another book. He looked focused on the book that he didn't even noticed you coming to him and sitting on the bench below the tree.

"Hey. I have seen you sitting here almost everyday, reading some book. What's your name?" you asked breaking his concentration. He looked at you and closed his book abruptly.
