Smearing the mascara and eyeliner over your eyes and applying lip gloss with a small PoP sound you wore a sleek red dress with black heels.
The sweet smell of vanilla of your shampoo intoxicating your senses. You put on some deodorant and finished everything.
You were getting ready for your date with your 1 month boyfriend. You took your small purse and checked your self in the mirror for the last time before leaving the house.
Waiting for a cab, you took a quick selfie to send your best friend for approval which you got immediately after pressing send.
The cab arrived and in 20 minutes, you were outside a small cozy restraunt. As you entered the place, a pale white looking waitress came and greeted you bowing slight with a sugary smile.
"Welcome to The Grand Plaza miss. I wish you enjoy your evening" with that said she instructed you inside the small place.
The mellow lighting and the fuzzy feeling of candles giving the place an oddly satisfying homely feel. You were admiring the beauty and comfort of the place when the same woman came again.
"You would like to order now or are you waiting for someone ma'am?" shs asked in a soft tone.
"I'm waiting. I'll order after sometime. Thank you so much" you said and she smiled before returning back.
You got back to calling your boyfriend, Samuel but his calls were straight away landing to voice mail. You tried way too many times, texted him but none were replied by him. It was like he was not available.
The waitress came in again for the 3rd time asking you if you are alright or want something. You nod at her and receive a glare from the nearby visitors.
It had been more than an hour of you waiting and he was still no where to be found. The embarrassing stares making your cheeks flush red. You were mad beyond words but couldn't act out in a foreign place like the one.
"Sorry baby, the traffic was crazy. I was not planning to get late tonight" suddenly a boy came In rushing and sat in front of you on the other chair. His breathing was uneven which meant he was in fact running all the way here.
When his breathing calmed down, you noticed his features. He had pretty doe eyes with a sharp nose in between. The nose ended with a small mole underneath it.
The long eyelashes and ungodly attractive double eyelids. When he smiled, his mouth became one in a box shaped.
He was the embodiment of beauty created by god on a fine Sunday morning. He was that pretty.
He clapped his hands in front of you to break your daze and drank the glass of water placed by the table.
You didn't knew this human and him claiming you to be his 'baby' was something that was bothering you. You looked around only to find people not looking back at the godly man sitting right by me.
"Who are you?" you whispered when there was no more attention towards a probably stood up girl on her date. Now you had a boyfriend.
"Knight in the shining armor, except for the armour" he said and gave you his another indelible boxy smile.
"Shall we order? I'm starving" You couldn't understand the situation when he muttered again. You nodded absent minded to which he smiled once more.
Stop smiling or I'll die of your charm young man.
The waitress came again when he signalled with his fingers. She had a slight smirk on her face as she eyed the boy up and down.
"What would you like to have baby?" the foriegn yet snug voice came once again.
You looked back on the menu on front of you and pointed on the first dish you saw. She watched you with a weird expression and went away to get the food.
"What is all this?" you couldn't stop yourself from asking him.
"Let's get to know each other shall we?" the expression on his face remained calm and composed. You also reminded quite so he spoke up once again.
"Ok I'll start. Hi, I'm Taehyung your boyfriend for the night. I'm a painter and crazy obsessed with anime and superheroes" he said casually sipping on the glass of sparkling water.
"Umm.. Well if we are doing this. I'm Y/N. I'm a dentist and I'm a bit into superheroes" you answered back to which his eyes shot up.
"Really!! Who's your favorite superhero? Mine is Iron Man" he said with such spark in his eyes that made you giggle a little.
"Mine would be Captain America" his facial muscles stretched at this and he open his mouth once again.
"But he is nothing in front of Iron Man. I mean look at Tony Stark he is the definition of class and sass" the sparkling eyes of the boy in front of you dazzling you in every way.
"Have you seen those muscles and that juicy butt of Steve. Ooofff I might drool now" you said wiggling your eyebrows. His eyes remained wide but then the food came and you two started eating without continuing who's better.
The whole dinner was filled with random talks and weird jokes by him. Your mood was set up by the total stranger even after being stood up on a date.
He made you smile your heart out the whole time he was there and you didn't even remembered what your purpose of coming there was.
"I'll pay baby. It's only fair" he said as the waitress came with the bill.
After you ate, he paid and bowed before grabbing the complementary ice cream he bought for you.
You both made your way out close to each other pretending to be a love sick couple.
"Thank you so much Taehyung. I don't know the amount of embarrassment I would face of it was not for you joining me tonight" you said as you were Now at the bus stop.
"How could I let a beautiful pearl like you get embarrassed? What kind of a man would do such thing?" he smiled before you.
"Apparently the one who was supposed to be there tonight shamelessly did" you chuckled at the bittersweet reality. You were not mad anymore at Samuel for not showing up there.
You were glad you could spend that time with someone like Taehyung. A perfect date with a perfect gentleman.
"Umm.. Well Y/N if you don't mind. Can I have your number? I would love to fight over Iron Man and Captain America over a call or a text" that smooth fellow just asked you for your phone number out of nowhere.
You couldn't help but blush at his remark. He smiled after watching you type your digits on his phone happily. The boxy smile appearing once again on his pouty lips.
Such a perfect human being.
After saying your goodbyes, you boarded the bus to your way home and he went back to his own way.
He showed you what it's like to be with a guy respectful enough towards you. Even if it's only for a few hours, you felt happier than you have felt the whole month being with Samuel.
"Thank you Taehyung. The best stranger of the night" you mumbled to yourself clutching your purse close to your heart and blushing like an idiot.
