Hello to his next lover. It's me, his previous lover. I know getting this letter from me would be the last thing you'd want but this is all I can give you now. Along with the amazing man Kim Taehyung.
There are a few things I'd like to tell you about the boy you have in your arms right now. I know the things coming from me will be of no use because if I've known all those, I would have been the one in your place right now. Nevermind…
The first thing I'd like to tell you is, congratulations. You've won his heart. His love. You're very lucky that he's let you in his big heart and let you love him. He doesn't easily open up to a lot of people and if he has done it to you, you're very fortunate. Cherish it forever. Cherish him forever.
He doesn't like to cook. Actually he sucks at cooking. Never let him inside a kitchen unattended. He'd burn your shelves to the core of the earth. He likes to accompany his lover to cook though. He likes to hug them when they'd cook. He'd tickle them, kiss their nape, play with their fingers and hair. Let him do all that. Even if it annoys you sometimes, let him be himself because he's warm. So..so warm that you'd feel full just being in his arms.
'I don't like romantic movies' he'd say but just wait until he becomes a crying mess because Jack didn't get on the door with Rose. He'd bawl his eyes out. Don't make fun of him then. Hold him close and let him cry on your shoulder. He's a big baby. Let him soak your sweater so you could steal one of his later on. Let him hold your hand and play with your fingers while he watches an action movie. He loves those. Let him pretend to be Captain America when he does, because the crinkles of his eyes when he'd smile will be all worth it. He's all worth it.
He might have been born in winters but he hates it. He hates when his cheeks are cold, when his ears are cold. Make sure you always have his earmuffs for him. He gets cranky when he's cold so make sure to wrap him up in a blanket whenever he falls asleep. Don't let him go out without a hot pack. Try to hold his hands every chance you get.
He loves amusement parks. Make sure to have one outing every once in a while to a park or fairs. Plan picnics and trips to various places. He loves to explore new places and have his lover by his side on every adventure. It helps him relax with his extremely busy schedule. Take him on a hike, bike rides on long routes, go to see cherry blossoms. He loves all of them. Even if you get busy, try to find time for him. I swear he's worth it all.
He likes to buy random gifts for his lover. So don't be surprised if one evening you are welcomed with a bunch of roses or a stupid green blanket with Moana's face on it. Just be grateful because he was out there and instantly thought of you to end up buying that thing. He'd be the least innovative with his gifts but all those gifts would hold a special meaning to him and so they should to you. His smile is the biggest out of them all. He is the brightest star in the sky and might have the warmest smile in a room full of 100 dull people trying to gain his attention but remember, you're the only one on his mind always. You're the one he chose to love the most.
He likes to cuddle while sleeping. He needs his arms around someone all the time so make sure you are that person for him. He might be heavy and might hold you tightly to the point you won't be able to sleep but let him. Let him be the big spoon sometimes because you might miss it later.
His love has the power to change you. It makes you a better person. It made me a better person. He made me who I am today. Even if we didn't last longer like we thought, even if I wasn't good enough for him, I still wish he'd let you know about me one day. I wish to at least have left a little impression on his heart for him to think of me sometime.
Tell him you love him everyday. He's yours to love now, yours to hold. He's let you have his heart next and I wish you don't make the mistakes I did. Let him have you on his bad days. Let him have his space if he asks for it. Give him the respect he deserves. The love he deserves. Give him the happiness I couldn't give him.
He's all yours now. I hope he finds his life in you. I shouldn't be the one to tell you this after all I did was hurt him. I'm not good enough of a person to say this but I wish you all the best. I hope you are able to give him the love he needs, he deserves.
