The clock beside you read 5 o'clock. An hour before your husband would arrive back home from work. You had an hour all to yourself and you just knew the perfect thing to do in the while.
It's been 3 months since you moved into the Kim mansion. It was after a week of your wedding to Taehyung. You got arranged to marry him but it wasn't bad. He was a gentleman in all senses. He was soft spoken, calm and collected most of the time and his aura was so warm you felt safe around him.
It did not take long before you started catching real feelings for him. It was usual because of how lovable he was. You weren't sure about him but you were falling deeper into the dream that's him. The only problem with everything was his priorities. He was a religiously work loving man. He worked on weekdays and on weekends as well. In the 12 hours you lived with him, you realized his work was very important to him but you never interjected.
You had a lot of free time on your hands since you weren't exactly working and so you decided to explore the house. It wasn't very huge but big enough for the two of you and a few guests if and when they come. It had a wall full of albums and a lot more vinyl records decorating it. From small artists to big ones, Taehyung's collection range was vast.
You skimmed through them and found the one you were looking for. A vinyl record of one of your favorite bands from the 90's. You've been a fan of those guys since you started listening to music. The record player was in the living room so you wasted no second to run to the room and plugged the CD in it.
The slow beats started rumbling through the entire space of your living room. The drapes were drawn and the lights were dimmed to give the room a sensual environment that you needed to get into the mood.
The song started and so did your legs. You couldn't help but dance along with the music. The first few minutes of upbeat rhythm later, the song transcends into a much slower pace. Yorlir's favourite tunes started flowing out of the player. You picked up the biggest cushion from the couch and draped your arms around it to make it your dancing partner.
You were so engrossed in the music that you didn't hear the clicks of the front door opening and closing after a minute. The music overdid it. You were in your own world. Eyes closed, hands around the cushion and sweet memories of your childhood ran across your mind taking you to a blissful mirage.
Taehyung stood a few feet away from you on the front door. His suit jacket hung by his arm and the tie knot loosened a little. He looked at your movements, slow and rhythmic to the music and his lips curled up into a slight smile.
He's never seen you dancing before. Maybe you did when he wasn't home but never in front of you. He was enjoying the view too much. He didn't get a lot of time before he got married to you.
The 'getting to know you, spending time with you or having cute romantic dates with you before wedding' wasn't there for him. It was a rushed event and before he knew, he was married to you. His busy schedule didn't give him much time to do all those things even after marriage.
He was getting to know you slowly through your actions though. The three months he spent with you were enough to tell him that you were a very nice girl and he was looking and picturing his future with you in it.
He didn't notice it before but your dress for the dance party wasn't what you usually wore in the house. The elegant dresses or shirts were replaced with a flimsy crop top, and pants or skirts were replaced with light cotton shorts.
The small of your waist that was visible from the hem of your top made Taehyung's blood rush to a suggestive part of his body. He didn't know he was capable of showing such a reaction to something as a little skin but here he was, blood rushing through his body at the sight.
You've still not acknowledged his presence in the room and he was getting too impatient to join you since the artist being played on the record was one of his favorites too. The tiredness slipped from his body and sudden urge to get close to you and join you on the dance replaced his exhaustion of the entire day.
He, as slowly as he was able to, kept his jacket on the chair near the door and walked towards the middle of the room. The low lighting gave your body a contoured shade. It highlighted all of your curves. The blood rushed faster, his body started working on its own and soon he found himself walking towards you. You had a pillow to your chest and he didn't like it very much.
Slowly, he arrived behind you, your movements a steady left and right swings while you hugged the pillow close. You didn't sense him coming closer but then your eyes shot open when a pair of arms crept up from behind you, to your waist and sat down on your stomach. They were warm and you knew who they belonged to. You didn't need to see who it was. His scent was enough. But that didn't stop you from gasping.
"Hey" he rasped in your ears from behind you. You took a deep breath to slow your frantic heartbeat. Calm down! It's just Taehyung.
"You scared me" your voice came out shaky but low. He smiled and pulled you to himself. "I'm sorry" the intensity of his whisper was enough to curl your toes.
You put the pillow back on the couch and placed your hands over his on your stomach. The proximity between your bodies was dangerous. He held you closer and you basked in his bodily warmth. You were loving it way too much.
"You never told me you liked them" he said in your ear, swinging both of your bodies to the rhythm of the music.
"You never asked," you said and chuckled, earning a laugh and a nod from him as well.
"Well, I'm asking you now. What do you like?" He asked. He pushed back from your body and turned you around to face him. Then he hugged your waist from the front and continued the little dance he was doing before.
"I like a lot of things. You'll have to be specific" you said, suddenly shy of his eyes on you. He nodded in understanding and thought about his first question.
"What about me? Do you like me?" He asked out of nowhere. Your eyes widened at the sudden question. Of course you liked him. He was your husband after all and living with him for the past few months has made those feelings grow stronger.
"Wasn't I specific enough?" He asked once again when you remained quiet for a while. You shook your head immediately. "You don't like me?" He asked, shocked.
"No. I like you. I mean.. i do" you stuttered. God this was embarrassing!!
"Me too" he said two simple words. You've never imagined him saying this to you. Between office work and then a distant behaviour at home, you thought he didn't have time for love. The shock was so evident in your eyes and the wideness in them was a clear sign how surprised you were.
The song was still playing in the background but you weren't exactly moving at your own pace. He broke into an endearing smile before he cupped both of your cheeks and said "Oh god! I'm falling in love with you"
The revelation made all those pent up butterflies erupt at the same time in your stomach. The words were out and about and you're yet to digest them. He gave you a few seconds. One, two, three and then pulled you to his chest.
"This is the reaction I was hoping for" the rumble of his voice in his chest brought you back to reality.
"You're not joking with me, are you?" You asked, unsure of his last statement. He smiled and placed a soft kiss on your cheek "It's as real as you and me"
It was enough proof. A person's mouth might lie or deceive but his heart can never and you knew because of how erratic his heartbeat was after he said those words. You hugged him back, tighter than before and nuzzled in his chest. The day kept getting better and better after that. You cooked together, watched a movie together afterwards.
The vinyl would sit and be played in the record player often after that day. Little dances were often but soon were elaborated to cute dates. Late night walks and ice cream parlour visits became a routine.
If life was good before, it was beautiful now that the one you've fallen for is loving you back. There's no feeling better than the feeling of being loved back as much as you love them.
