Kanashi's story

Kanashi wanted to speak but tears blocked his throat. Haru looked at him and realized how much hard it was for him so she grabbed his clenched fist, pressed lightly on it and said, "Don't carry your burden alone when you have got friends,"

Kanashi started crying after hearing this. Then he gathered all his strength and started talking, "I had a sister. I loved her the most in my life. But she was just six years old when she was diagnosed with a disease. She needed blood transfusion on regular basis. There was no cure until she was old enough but...," His voice felt heavy. He was angry but he composed himself.

Haru was listening carefully. "But my useless father stopped giving money for her treatment. I started doing different jobs but it was not enough money," Kanashi stopped to wipe his tears, took a deep breath and then continued, "One day she became unconscious, we took her to the hospital and doctors said that they needed to do surgery urgently. I told my father but he did not care at all. " Kanashi punched on floor.

He was crying like a kid. Haru was also crying. She did not know how to comfort him so she just stayed there with him, letting him cry as much as he wanted. Some pains are only reduced by crying.

Kanashi also told her what happened one night before his sister died. How she asked him to smile even when she was suffering but he was so broken to smile a little bit for her happiness. That was his nightmare for months and he always wanted to punish himself for that crime.

Haru pat on his shoulder. There was silence between them. What words she could use to comfort the pain of losing someone so special to him. But she could not just stay quiet in that situation.

Haru mustered up the courage and said, "I know its hard to lose someone close to you and keep on living but we must not lose the track of reality. Maybe there was some issue for not giving money. "

"How can you talk with so surity when you don't even know what happened then, " Kanashi was not happy to hear this from her.

"Yeah you are right but I know one thing certainly, parents love their children with all their hearts and can sacrifice everything for them, " Haru had a point.

" Lets not talk about it for now, "Kanashi ended the discussion, Haru agreed to it but she decided to find the truth for both of them.

"Oh BTW lets call them inside," Suddenly Kanashi suggested to her.

" Huh... who? "Haru was surprised with his words.

"Those two idiots are standing behind the door, listening to us, " Kanashi said with a smile. He was feeling so light and calm.

They both entered the room smiling and feeling little bit embarrassed to be caught.

"Actually we just came now, offcourse we were also worried about Haru," Kai said while rubbing the back of his head.

On the other hand Jay looked towards Kai who was already looking in his direction and Jay raised his eyebrows as if saying, "told ya!"

Kai was expecting this from Jay , he just lowered his head, thought," Such a fool!" And smiled. Jay's opinion of Kanashi being in love was proven now and Kai was convinced.

Then they asked Ba-chan to also join them and all of them kept talking, laughing and sharing different funny stories about themselves for hours. Not a single one of them was feeling any worry.
