Launa's Past

The lady named Launa whom Haru met was not originally from the poor family as she looked now. She lived a mediocre life until once when there was a huge loss in their family shop.

Condition got so critical that they had to sell their house and shop as well in order to pay all the rents and loans but still it was not enough.

Launa was also a small employee in a company and she asked her boss for some loan in that dire situation. But because she was not at some high position, her request was declined.

Instead the boss asked her to marry him for all the expenses and payment of loans. There was one condition though, she was supposed to stay anonymous for rest of her life, not contacting her family and also not even him publically owning her as his wife.

The boss was already married to someone from rich status but had no children. He just wanted to have a heir for his business.

Launa knew if she asked her mother, she would simply reject it. Her mother was her only family and she was ready to sacrifice everything for her sake. She decided to marry the boss, forgetting how much difficult it'd be for her mother to live with such a burden.

Launa wrote a letter for her mother in which she told her that she was in love with someone and going to live with him in some foreign country so she didsn't have to worry about her and also no need of contacting each other as the situation implied.

Boss fulfilled his promise and within a week, all their financial troubles were gone. But her first child was a girl and boss was not happy with it at all. He started to threaten her.

She had a son one year later, his name was chosen by that boss and his family. They named him Kusata. Launa was not able to see him properly or cuddle him.

Launa lived at boss' house as Kusata's maid for starting years and then the boss sent her to a small house in country side. Launa had to wait at school gate for hours to see a glimpse of her son.

As Kusata grew up, he started to act strangely, his personality rotted. He knew his truth and who his real mother was. He met with Launa from time to time but not warmly. Launa knew he was sensitive enough to feel everything but afraid to speak up and make a stand. She thought that maybe Kusata was avoiding everything to save himself from getting into any complex situation.

Launa told everything about her life to Haru and now it was getting dark outside. They exchanged their phone numbers and departed. They often talked on calls and became very close to each other. Kusata was unaware of all of this.
