New morning

After waiting for few moments, Kanashi said, "Maybe I should go take a look now." Kanashi looked through the gap between the doors and found out that Haru was awake, sitting on floor while staring in the space.

He knocked at the door to ask for permission to enter and Haru signalled him with her head to come in.
He went inside and sat beside her on the floor.

He came there with full confidence but now he was totally confused, not knowing how to start the conversation. Haru was quiet too.

At last, Kanashi asked, "How are you?" But before Haru could answer, he thought to himself," What a foolish question I asked in this condition!"
He was occupied in his thoughts when he heard a giggle,

"Hehe I am fine. How are you?" It was Haru who was smiling.

He was in shock to see her that way. Not that he did not want her to be happy but she was upset few hours ago so it was a little surprising for him.

Judging him by the look on his face, she said teasing him, "Whaatt! You are worried to see me happy huh?"

"Aah is that really obvious from my face, "Kanashi replied while touching his face. He was embarrassed and now feeling like a complete idiot.

"Hey don't take it so seriouly, just stay normal," Haru tried to help make him at ease.

He was thinking of comforting her but now situation was totally different. Again he was lost in thoughts on what to say next when Haru started talking herself.

"You must be thinking why am I this calm when I was crying so much before, "She paused for a moment to see his reaction and he nodded so she continued, "Thing is I was hurt to hear that disrespectful stuff about my parents and at that moment I really missed them so much that I could not stop my emotions. " She took a break with a sigh.

Kanashi was looking at her face while she was still focused on something in the air.

She again continued, " But I realized one thing, I lost my parents and there is still a hole in my heart that will never be filled but its not end of my life. I got Ba-chan who loves me with all her heart and you people always taking care of me. I'm so happy and blessed that I could not resist smiling. "

She looked towards Kanashi and he felt as if stars were twinkling in her eyes. "Are those tears? No , that was the face of completely content person. So bright so calm, "Kanashi thought to himself and felt so happy But his eyes were full of tears.

"Are you okay?" Haru saw him crying and now was worried.

"Yeah. Will you listen to a story," Kanashi said and moved his head away from her, resting on bed.

"Yes sure. I am all ears!" Haru said in a soft voice.
