3rd POV

Jack turned the walkie off to help Raine barricade the door that was currently being kicked down by a couple of guards outside. She had already pushed one of the desks in front of it, but it wasn't doing much to hold the guards back. Jack scanned the room for something they could use to block the door. His eyes landed on the wooden bookshelf in the corner of the room beside the door.

"Raine, watch out!" Jack shouted.

Raine moved out of the way as he pushed the bookshelf over so that it fell right in front of the door, successfully trapping the guards out for a couple of minutes, but locking Raine and Jack inside. The boy moved back to the buttons and awaited Dylan's instructions.

Nora's POV

"Are they okay?" I jogged over to Dylan as Charlie walked around the room, looking at all the different cell names.

There was no use in calling out for our friends to find out which cell they were in because their voices would be drowned out by the cries of the other kids and we couldn't cause too much noise unless we wanted a pack of guards on us in a split second.

"They'll be fine, Jack can handle himself and I'm pretty sure Raine can too. They'll get out before the guards can catch them," Dylan said reassuringly before turning to the walkie talkie in his hand. "Jack?" Dylan pressed his finger on the speaker button. He looked back at me, but my eyes were glued to the device in his hand.

"Yeah, I'm looking for the cell numbers."

Dylan and I let out sighs of relief.

"Okay...Bianca! Cell 34. You should be able to swipe your keycard on it now."

As soon as I heard Raine's voice sound through the walkie, I raced over to the cells closest to me while Charlie rushed over to the cells on the opposite side.

"Thirty-two...Thirty-three...Thirty-four! Over here!" Charlie called out, pulling his keycard out and quickly swiping it over the lock. I sucked in a breath, anticipating what laid inside the small cell. As the door opened slowly I saw Charlie's face light up with joy. Holy shit! She's actually here! We did it!

"Bianca?!" he exclaimed, grinning and laughing in relief as he rushed into the small room.

"Charlie?" A female voice called back, which I identified as Bianca. The two siblings embraced each other, holding on tightly as I smiled. I turned back around to see Dylan watching them as well, a hint of relief in his eyes.

"Okay, next one, Raine?" Dylan asked quickly, blinking back into focus.

"Okay, Thomas's cell number...forty-six. Same as Connor! They're in there together!"

Dylan quickly grabbed the key from his pocket while Charlie and Bianca were still embracing. Rushing over to cell number forty-six, he swiped the card but he did it too fast because the scanner read error with an orange light. Before he could try again, the metal door on the opposite side of the room slid open, revealing four guards each armed with taser guns.

I pulled my gun out and took cover behind a small counter as the guards began shooting taser bullets across the room. I watched as Charlie narrowly missed a bullet as he pushed Bianca back into the cell so they could take cover from the bullets that were spewing around them. I looked around from my crouched position to see Dylan and Charlie on one side of the room, while I was a couple of dozen feet away from them.

3rd POV

Meanwhile, the communications door was falling apart and Raine looked at Jack with fear in her eyes.
