As we flew over a speed bump, I couldn't stop myself from beaming up at Dylan. We're going to get Raine back in less than an hour. Sensing my excitement, Dylan grinned. We drove for a few more minutes before Taylor pulled the van to a stop at the backside of the Obsidian behind a storage facility.
"Alright, Nora, Seb, and Dylan, let's go. Ty, you cover back here," Taylor said, jumping out of his seat and grabbing the shotgun that rested next to it. Dylan slid out of his seat first with me right behind him as she double-checked my gun was loaded. The four of us stepped outside, Taylor lingering to give Ty some last-minute instructions as Dylan, Sebastian, and I waited for him.
"You guys ready for this?" Sebastian asked, swallowing deeply as he eyed the fortress that was the Obsidian complex in front of us.
"Oh yeah, let's kick some ass," I sent him a cheeky grin.
"What about you, Dylan? Got any words of wisdom you'd like to share?" Sebastian raised his eyebrows at Dylan.
"Nope, I think she just about covered it," Dylan admitted, smirking excitedly.
"Alright, ass-kicking it is," Sebastian sighed as Taylor finally joined us. "You heard that, Coach? Time to kick ass."
Taylor grinned. "You bet it is," he said before leading the way to the back door.
We jogged together, Sebastian and I in the back following Dylan and Taylor in the front. While Dylan and Taylor worked to open the lock to the door, Sebastian and I stood beside them, keeping an eye out for any guards who might be near.
"Got it," Taylor muttered when the keypad flashed green and the door hissed, signaling that it was unlocked. We walked into the small and dark concrete corridor that structured the outer ring of the Obsidian facility, Sebastian shutting the door once we all stepped through.
"Alright, this way," Taylor said, beginning to walk in the direction that would lead us to another door. We followed behind him for five minutes before we reached the door.
"Okay, Nora, Seb, you ready?" Taylor asked as we stuffed our guns into our waistbands.
"Yeah," I muttered and Sebastian nodded. I brushed my hair into my face more to hide it from sight. Dylan had originally argued against me going into the compound with Sebastian to get Raine and the rest of our friends, but when I convinced him that no one would recognize me because of my hair and that I would be extremely careful, he finally relented and let me go.
"Hey," Dylan said, grabbing my hand quickly. "Be careful, okay? Keep your head down and if anything goes south you drop everything and run back here, got it?" He stared back at me intently, making sure that I understood him, and when I nodded, he let go of my hand.
"Got it," I replied with a small smile and turned back to Taylor to give him a nod.
"Alright, be safe guys. Don't take too long," Taylor said and opened the door for us.
Sebastian and I walked through the door that was located on the wall behind a cluster of tents. We discreetly made our way through the door without anyone seeing us and started to walk across the grass with our heads angled downwards. As we walked, Sebastian looked over to me without moving his head to which I met his gaze and gave him a quick nod.
We weaved through the tents around them until I finally spotted one I recognized. I smacked Sebastian's arm, getting his attention, and nudged my head in the direction of Raine's tent. Sebastian nodded and followed me. Once we reached it, I looked both ways before Sebastian and I slipped inside.
