July 5, 1981

Sitting at the breakfast table with the Bass family I've woken up kinda sore and didn't feel too different but my attitude has changed sort of. It's a good thing Tommy was still asleep and since we ended up with me on the outside I just rolled out and went down to socialize with the family. I'll gladly take a shower once we finish here but I was not gunna miss breakfast in case he did wake up and try to eat all the food

"Evie I was wondering if you're available to come shopping with me at the mall today, y'know for a girls day just you and me ?"

"Sure just let me go home and change and see if Elaine is home and if she'll be there all day"

"Okay great well mom I'm gunna go get dressed, thanks for breakfast" she rushes out leaving me and Voula for awhile

"Evelyn you look different this morning" she examines me like a hawk

"What do you mean ?" shoving another waffle in my mouth

"I don't know yet but how did you sleep ?"

"Good, Tommy hogs the blanket as always but I managed"

"I heard that" he shouts coming down and joining us at the table "I didn't hog the blanket she was falling out the bed which means she spaced herself from me and the blanket"

"You two are so adorable, why can't you just make her your girlfriend already" she asks making us both look at each other in disgust before fake gagging

"Voula no"

"C'mon mom you know we're just friends"

"You guys would give me beautiful grandchildren and your father and I already see her as our daughter so just make it happen" she smacks him walking out the kitchen leaving us

Gotta love that woman and her attitude, I wish she were my mom sometimes. Hell all the times, wouldn't be so bad either she loves me just as much and feeds me

"So what we doing today ? I think Nikki said something about band practice and a show soon"

"Athena wants to go shopping so I'm taking her to wherever she pleases, after I go home and change also shower"

"You're not avoiding me because of last night are you, Evie we agreed that it wasn't gunna change us" he scoots closer to me

"Tommy chill I'm just having a girls day with Athena then I'll come to you guys, nothing is changing we're still the same two chaotic best friends we were even before last night" pinching his cheek making him smile and look back to his food

"I didn't hurt you did I ?"

"Jesus no I'm fine, sore yeah like I imagined but I'm completely fine" laughing drinking from the coffee mug

"So how was it for you ?"

"Tommy" blinking into my cup

"Yeah ?"

"Shut up please and eat your food before I shove it down your throat"

It was peaceful and quiet after that little mishaps but I knew that doing that was a bad idea however the selfish side of me wanted it to happen and I'm just lucky he went along with it. But he wasn't kidding when he said it was gunna be weird between us after everything, today he made a joke about me moaning his name and I didn't laugh but instantly got more alerted to who was around. Usually I would've laughed or had some counter attack but I didn't, the feeling of all the events crept back up on me and I bolted out the door walking home. Didn't last long really because I had to return an hour later to pick up Athena since I said we'd go shopping together. Thank heavens he was gone by the time I got back but since we've been here I haven't stopped thinking about it
