A little while later

Sitting on the small couch I'm staring out the window watching the night sky along with the twinkling stars thinking about why I'm such a fuck up, more importantly a desperate person. I could've handled that differently, I should've not gave in so easily. Why is it that I'm the one that has to feel guilty for the most part so badly but he doesn't, I know he doesn't. To him it's fine we'll be best friends and Heather won't know, I know that's enough. It sucks that he doesn't know how much this hurts me with suppressing my feelings and emotions that I'm just going along with it like it means nothing. Maybe this is just it I am strictly going to put my foot down and tell Tommy how I feel, so therefore we need to stop

"Not tired Evelyn?" Henry asks me

"No just wanting to keep you company Henry, I've always been fond of old people since they have so many stories to tell" scooting closer so I don't have to talk loud to disturb the guys

"Who said I was old, I'm 36 years old" he jokes as I smile holding in a laugh "No I'm 52 but I don't have any stories to tell right now"

"Henry you must have some good stories, what were you doing before you became a bus driver hauling the asses of these fuckers every night?"

"I was a trucker hauling 18 wheelers across the states still so nothing really has changed except well taking people instead of containers and furniture"

"So you've really always been good at being a night owl who stays up for many hours of the night until morning, don't you have family Henry?"

"I do" seeing him reach for a picture sticking near the dashboard and handing it to me "my wife Edna and our three kids"

"Your wife is beautiful, but how old are your kids they look so young" staring at it feeling a tint of jealousy how happy they all look

"My wife couldn't have kids, we eventually find out pretty late since we didn't have that kind of technology now. So we adopted those three best decision we've ever made they are a handful but we love it"

"Three girls that's expected, how old are they now?"

"12, 10, and 9" bout the same estimate age gap between me and my sisters what a coincidence

"Well that's good Henry I'm glad you have a happy, healthy life outside of work" handing him his picture back standing up "I'm gonna get some sleep but thanks for this talk old man"

"Anytime Evelyn I'm here all night and day" he smiles turning back to the road as I leave him to his lonesome, probably should call my family once we stop to check on everyone

Getting off the bus I fix my jacket underestimating how cold it is and feel Sydney loop her arm in mines smiling once I notice it's her

"What are you so happy about now?"

"Just happy to be off that bus for one and two we're almost back in Los Angeles so I can see Willy before we're back to traveling another state" she says leading the way to the arena

"I will still not understand your interest to be around this man minus the money and spending spree you get to partake in"

"Could always come along and see what I mean, but he's also nice and charmingly funny"

"But he's not the cutest little tubby guy you've ever seen"

"Looks have never been much of a thing for me, as long as he's nice and funny"

"With a huge checkbook and healthy looking bank account, I get it really and I encourage you to continue seeing this guy but just be careful"

"What are you two talking about over here all close and secretive?" Vince asks coming between us
