"Home Sweet Home, do you want to come over until you get your head space right?" Sydney asks me as I shake my head grabbing my bag from the ground after fixing my jacket

"I need to get apartment hunting again and move my stuff out of Nikki's place before they get back"

"Can always move in with me, I really would feel better if you did"

"I'll think about it, but don't get your hopes up. See you later for work?"

"Yeah" she nods sadly walking her way while I walk mines to find a cab

Long road to recovery here, lost my best friend officially and no going back. I don't know why I'm surprised but I really am, Tommy was supposed to be my forever person. My shoulder to cry on, vomit on, punch on, lean on even when I didn't want to. This blows, but it was always gonna happen sooner or later but never did I think like this. Oh well you win some and you lose some

"So glad to have you back Evelyn, work was so boring without you two" Paula shouts pulling me and Sydney in a firm grip

"Slow nights I take it, where's Matt I need to see if we still have our jobs"

"You guys know you do, he's been wanting to speak to you guys about something so he's in his 'office' as he calls it" she quotes while her and Vicki go finish getting changed

Following Sydney to the back she knocks while I just open the door letting myself in, seeing him sitting on his desk with his back to us I shrug and sit down in one of the available chairs

"Alright I gotta go, speak to you later" he turns around from hanging up the phone "Sydney and Evelyn, back so soon?"

"You know me can't stay away from the money for too long"

"I beg to differ you left last year with no problem and came back on time, but like I always say it's none of my business. How would you girls feel about a new position?"

"Like what, we do pretty much everything there is from waitressing to working the pole?"

"She has a point Matt what possibly could there be" Sydney adds to the question

"New jobs maybe, just a suggestion" he shrugs like it's no big deal

"Are you firing us?!"

"What, Matt you're joking right?" Sydney giggles but he doesn't answer her "Why are we getting fired, what did we do?"

"Not fired just new positions, I have a friend, Riki he could use two girls like you to really spice up the place"

"Cut it out Matt you're firing us just grow a pair and say it. Jesus fuck, so what are we supposed to do now?" folding my arms fuming that I'm being fired again

"No I want to know why, is it because we left? We bring in a lot of joy and happy customers Matt why do you hate us?" seeing Syd getting emotional

"I don't hate you, I'm letting you guys go because Riki and I worked up a deal to pay you more than what you're getting here. You two will draw guys in like flies wherever you go, and over at the Cathouse they could use you"

"Where the fuck did you say, the Cathouse?! Are you out of your mind, do you know what goes on in there? Do you have any idea the kind of people that hang out in there, Matt they don't even allow cameras or have good security in there"

"I heard from Paula they do anything and everything in there" Sydney finally stops crying wiping her face

"Your new position for us is something far worse than what goes on at the Seventh Veil, Matt you were better off firing me if you think I'm gonna work in the hellhole"
