Standing on the platform I make sure to be still while this tailor takes all of my measurements from legs, to waist, to bust. Not helping he was pretty outspoken and rude about it, I get it I'm not the best shaped but I'm good with my little something something damn

"Okay Ms Locklear we have all what we need, you're a little bit smaller than the others. Have quite a figure in certain areas but all around small stature" he tells me as he walks away from us

"Okay well we have them, now we have to see about your shoe size and get you through a practice. Rehearsal dinner is next week from now, you don't have to do anything but show up and mingle but try to limit yourself on that thing you do please"

"What thing, you mean my sarcasm and smart remarks?"

"Yes, that thing also try to not bring up how close you and Tommy are. I don't want it freaking out my family or friends as if he's cheating or anything"

"So you basically want me to be not myself to fit into your social circle of friends, family, and colleagues? Wonderful I feel like I'm better off back at home at least there I could be myself without consequences" sighing following her out the store into a shoe boutique

"Welcome back Heather, oh who's this a friend of yours?" some lady asks as they exchange air kisses and hugs before looking to me

"No this is Tommy's friend, I actually need to see about getting a size 8 for her"

"For the wedding, I think we have a pair in the back let me see. Would that be 8 wide or 8 narrow?"

"Huh?" looking at her confused

"Your footing, we'll take the narrows" Heather answers for me as she goes looking around leaving me at the front

I've had it up to here with being alone with Heather, she can't hold a conversation with me, she chooses to try and tell me what I can and cannot do at her wedding. This wedding better be over faster than how Mick finishes a bottle because I will not waste as much time as I am today on another day with her

"Here they are, do you want me to just put them on your tab?" she asks us both

"You can pay right Evelyn I left my wallet at home was in a rush?" Heather asks me turning away still looking at shoes

"Yeah I got it" faking a smile turning back to the lady as she waits for me to give her some sort of paying method "just put it under Thomas Bass and he'll pay for it"

"Okay no problem" she nods as I give her the information, times like these I'm too good of a friend for remembering shit

After a long two hours I was done, I was even more relieved to be home in my comfort where I can burp, sneeze, say whatever I wanted without Heather's input. How the fuck does Tommy do it I have no clue, I don't even have long before I have to get ready for work. Maybe I could go stay at Paula's or Sydney's before it's go time, do they work tonight eh we'll find out. Before I could snatch my keys and open the door Nikki walks into my place on his own going straight for my fridge

"Hello...?" waiting until he comes back "Everything okay or are you like having a bad day and need to talk?"

"I'll be fine just needed to get out of my house, where you going?" he asks finally noticing I was about to walk out the door

"To Paula's but first Sydney's to see if she's home"

"Do you mind if I stay here then until I'm ready to go, I'll lock up your place don't worry"

"Nobody comes in" pointing a finger at him walking backwards to the door

"Got it, see you after work" watching him lean back into the couch
