It Was Luck At First Sight

chapter 8

kokichi's pov:

I'm so happy to see my precious little squid all grown up. If only Shumai had joined me, he would be just as proud as I am. It's a shame he decided to stay inside due to his opinions of leaving the two alone together. Not that I would admit it, but I had my doubts about Hinata and him wanting to speak to him alone. Can you blame me? I think of Komaeda as if he was my own. What if he got his heart broken or worse, he gets really injured, or... No Kokichi, you're overthinking it, Nagito is happy and that is how it will stay. I won't let anyone come between them. "Kichi, why are you still outside, it's absolutely freezing out here?" a soft, tender  voice asked me, I instantly recognised it to be Shuichi's voice. The sky was dark and stars covered the atmosphere around them, with that darkness was a cold air that just appeared to my senses. Shumai must've noticed my body shivering in the cold. He took off his hoodie and wrapped it around my shoulders,  it was very oversized and matched with Shuichi's emo colour scheme of black and navy blue. I tried to think of what he would look like if he wasn't so emo. This caused a small giggle to escape my lips, "What's so funny?" He looked at me confusedly like a small puppy when you ask it something it doesn't know. "Nothing Shumai, now how long do you think they'll be making out for?" I asked with my biggest grin as I pointed at our little squid and his new boyfriend. 

Shuichi's pov:   

I turn my head to the direction Kichi was pointing. Nagito and Hajime were kissing each other as they shared a warm embrace in the night breeze. They looked so cute together but at the same time they were really irresponsible for both of them not wearing jackets, I knew that Komaeda had left his jacket at home and Hajime refused to wear one unless it was a weekend. I had to tell them to get into the surprisingly warm building before they caught a cold. "Hey! You two should come back inside, you'll catch a cold." I shouted at them as I picked up Kokichi, who fit perfectly in my arms. The two guys looked at me as they stopped their lovers moment before joining me inside where the others were staring out of the window. As soon as we entered I placed Kokichi down at my side. Soon enough there was a crowd of people asking questions about the new couple, to which Nagito answered for both Hajime and himself. Eventually the crowed began to disperse and everyone headed home to turn in for the night. This left the last four of us to go to my house, where Nagito, Kokichi and myself live. Me and Kokichi stayed in our room as per normal and Hajime stayed with Komaeda in his bed.
