Peter was taking a trip to Stark Industries and all Flash was talking about was how the other boy would be exposed for his lies.
They stepped out the bus in quite an orderly fashion (for awe-struck teenagers) and went to the lobby. A few moments later, a tour guide showed up.
"Hi, my name's Megan and I'm going to be your tour guide today."
She waved slightly and handed Mr. Harrington a basket of badges to hand out to the class. Everyone got a badge and went through but when Peter tried to step through, FRIDAY sent a warning signal.
"Please remove any metal or dangerous objects from your person and walk through the metal detector again."
Peter sighed and started uncovering his concealed weapons. 3 pocket knives, 2 pistols and a dagger later, he tried to get through the system again, but he was told to try again. He sighed while the other people around him looked slightly concerned. He unclipped his watch from his left wrist and the 2 bracelets from the right. He leant down and took off his sneakers to slip off more silver bracelets from both his ankles. After putting both of his shoes on again, he tried a 3rd time, but it seems Stark had pretty damn good technology, so he turned to the tour guide to ask a simple question.
"Does this metal detector scan Vibranium?"
After Megan nodded, Peter scoffed and sighed in defeat. He stuck a hand into his shirt and pulled out a triangular fixing, that was glowing a light red, with splotches of white mixed in. In the middle, a white reading of '67%' was showing clearly. Peter walked through the scanner for the 4th time, and he was finally cleared. He rushed over and tried to take the device back but a security guard put it in a seperate box with all of his belongings.
"Sorry kid, no metal allowed on you during the tour."
Peter's breathing got heavier as he tried to reach for the box again, but the guard put it out of his reach, on the top shalf before shutting a small vault door. Peter tried to scratch and pry the door open but he couldn't get any grip so it was no use. He sent a few punches, leaving quite obvious dents before the same guard pulled him away, sending a 'Code Orange' through his earpiece.
A few minutes later, Peter's breathing was dangerously laboured and his eyes were starting to droop closed, but the guard thought it was all a trick for attention, as did some of his classmates.
"Oi Parker!" Flash started, watching this go down from the sidelines "Stop being-"
The elevator opened to Tony Stark and Natasha Romanoff, the latter looking quite defensive. Tony rushed over and bent down by the boy. "What's happening to you?"
"Oh, nothing much." Peter waved it off quite sarcastically "Just slowly falling into cardiac arrest without my device locked in the vault that your pricks won't let me get."
Tony looked over to the vault before gesturing for security to open it, which they did quickly, notwanting to upset the billionaire. Tony pulled out Peter's box, looking quite nervous with the amount of fire-arms, but pulled out the triangle, that was blinking red rapidly. Peter nodded his head and took the device, sticking up his shirt.
A faint 'click' was heard, before a ticking sound become rapidly faster. A security guard tackled Peter back to the ground and handcuffed him.
"Sir, he has a bomb on him. He's ticking."
Peter started chuckling as the beeping got louder, turning into a continuous sound, before shutting off completely again. the guard ripped off Peter's shirt and everyone stood there shocked.
Puny Parker had an 8-pack, deep scars mangling his body and a pink triangle, now reading '52%' was implanted into his chest, the skin around it looking aggravated.
Tony subconsciously touched his arc reactor to which Peter nodded towards him.
"If you must know, this is the only thing keeping me alive. It's essentially an arc reactor but instead of stopping fragments going into my heart, it attracts the Polonium and draws it from my bloodstream, towards the electromagnet so it doesn't reach my heart. I'm currently -- he looked down to the blinking number -- about half-way from all of the radioactive shit being taken out of my body, where it'll serve as a constant defibrilator, to prevent my heart from stopping."
While he was talking, he slipped his shirt on, put the bracelets and watch on and re-holstered his weapons, concealing them from anyone who didn't know they were there.
Peter glared at the security who was standing with his hand hovering over his gun.
"What's with the bracelets and anklets?" Natasha questioned accusingly.
Peter crossed his arms and swung them down, nano-tech surrounding him. It was silver, red and blue, leaving the life-support in the middle. The arc turned red, like the colour surrounding it and a silver spider replaced the percentage. The nano-tech mask come down as quickly as it was put up and Peter gestured to himself.
"That's what the bracelets and anklets do. Now if you don't mind, I need someone to conjure up some NDAs so no-one reveals my identity."
With Tony's nod of agreement, Peter continued "Adios Enchilladas."
He stuck up the spidey-symbol with his fingers before vaulting over the main desk and running through the door, before swinging away, thinking to himself. 'I never actually made it past the lobby, normally I can at least make past security. That might be a new record.'
