FNF x Pico's School High School AU

Day 1

If you didn't read the description, this story will have Boyfriend x Girlfriend. It is also a romance story with Pico x Nene. If you don't ship either one of those, proceed with precaution.

Pico was anxious to enter his new school. He couldn't think of anything other than last year's disaster. While students were walking to the entrance with excited chatter, he stood there. Pico felt uneasy for a while until he heard the familiar voices of the new friends he had made over the summer.

"Pico! Hey!" Yelled a rather short boy with cyan colored hair. He was accompanied by a taller girl with long brunette hair, which she was wearing in a ponytail. Pico felt better as his new friends approached him. "I didn't know you were going here!" Said Boyfriend, the short blue haired boy. It was actually quite the coincidence that his partner's name was Girlfriend, the girl right beside him.

"Yeah. My parents wouldn't let me stay at my old school after what happened." Said Pico. Boyfriend nodded as he straightened out his shirt. Their school's uniform didn't really have a size small enough for him, and the large shirt he was forced to wear looked rather baggy. Girlfriend looked at the clock at the top of the building and grabbed Boyfriend's hand.

"We're almost late for homeroom! Come on, Pico!" Girlfriend and Boyfriend, hand in hand, ran near the entrance while Pico tailed them. Bursting through the door, the trio were minutes early. Pico sat down in his seat and watched as Boyfriend blushed while Girlfriend was straightening his tie. The fast running they were doing made it crooked. Pico sighed and turned towards the window. He always thought it was awkward that the only two friends he had were a couple. He hated the feeling of being a third wheel just as much as he loved hanging out with them.

Pico felt safer at this school. As he looked around his classroom, all he could see were couples flirting with each other, some sleeping students, and a boy with strawberry blonde hair grabbing the attention of multiple girls. Pico rested his head on his desk as his homeroom teacher came in late and introduced herself. After roll call, the teacher pointed to two empty seats behind Pico.

"Did those students go to the bathroom?" She asked. A few students responded with no, and she marked them as absent.

Boyfriend, Girlfriend, and Pico met between periods, and sat together at lunch. Pico, again, felt like a third wheel as Girlfriend wiped Boyfriend's mouth with her napkin.

"I'm not a kid, you know..." Boyfriend complained while blushing.

"That's right! You're a big boy!" Girlfriend teased while pinching his cheeks. Two minutes of flirting later, Pico yanked Girlfriend's ponytail. She grabbed it and turned towards him.

"What was that for?" She frowned.

"Making it obvious that I don't have a Girlfriend." He replied. Boyfriend sat in between the two and pulled out his Nintendo switch. For the rest of the lunch period, they played Mario Kart.

A few hours later, it was time to leave. Girlfriend and Boyfriend waved goodbye to Pico as they headed home, again, hand in hand. Pico waved and headed to his house. Pico had been in his bed for a long time, thinking about old friends from his school. He picked up his phone, and scrolled through his contacts. Finally, he found the names, "Thing One" and "Thing Two" in his phone. Those were the names he gave his old friends as a joke back then, and never changed them. After their school had gotten attacked, Pico didn't call his friends when he left. He debated whether he should start a conversation with "Thing One" or not.

"He probably won't pick up, anyway." Pico said after a long time of questioning. He turned off his phone and buried his face in his pillow.
