After the back of the bus was loaded with everyone's luggage, the students boarded it. This time, Nene took the window side of the same seat they sat in on the way and Pico decided to sit by the aisle. They spent the ride back looking over the pictures that Nene took, admiring souvenirs that they bought, and battled each other with Yu-Gi-Oh cards again. (Nene was a big fan.) As if this bus ride were made to be the polar opposite of the first bus ride, Pico fell asleep on Nene first, Nene fell asleep second, Pico woke up first, moved a bit, and Nene fell in his lap. Pico stared at Nene's sleeping face and couldn't bring himself to pull her off of him. Pico gulped and slowly brought his hand to her head. He blushed as he ran his fingers through her hair.

It felt both silky and fluffy at the same time; Pico didn't know what came over him, but he couldn't stop feeling her hair. But, he knew if she woke up, he would have to. Pico had been doing it for so long, he didn't even know the bus had reached the school. Once he saw the academy outside of the window, he moved his hand away from Nene's hair and pushed her out of his lap. He didn't mean to hurt her, and he didn't, but the push had enough force to wake Nene up. Everyone got up to exit the bus, and Pico helped Nene up while she was still drowsy.

As everyone got their luggage, Pico and Nene noticed Darnell, Boyfriend, and Girlfriend waiting for them at the front gate.

"You're back! Did you guys have fun?" Girlfriend asked.

"What kind of question is that?" Darnell replied, crossing his arms. "I'm sure it was boring as hell without me." Pico and Nene laughed at his sudden outburst.

"We did have fun, but I'm sure it could've been better with you there." Pico said.

"Yeah... But hey, we got souvenirs for you guys so that you could have a part of the trip with you even though you couldn't go!" Nene said, reaching in her bag. She gave a (enter out of town place here) keychain to Darnell, a mini license plate to Boyfriend, and a hamster (the town's signature animal) plushie to Girlfriend. The three of them admired their gifts and thanked Nene.

When everyone had returned to their homeroom class, and it was time to pack up, Nene handed Pico some of the pictures she took.

"I took two pictures of you and me so that I could have one and you could, too! There are also some pictures that I didn't want that you can keep." She said. Pico took the pictures Nene gave him and thanked her. After he walked her home, he went in his room, and hung the picture of him and Nene on his wall. He stared at it for a while before finally saying something.

"Is this creepy?" He asked himself. "Ugh, I guess I'll take it down later. But for now..." He didn't finish his sentence, but stared at Nene in the picture for 5 minutes. "Welp. I'd better get started on my homework." He said after the five minutes were over. Pico never took down the picture that day. He kept it up there for days. Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. From then on, Pico would stare at the picture on any occasion. When he was in a bad mood, when he was sad, when he was bored, and when he was lonely. As much as Pico hated to admit it, seeing Nene's face made him feel better.

Because of the picture of her on his wall, Pico had a recurring dream about Nene. They were alone in the hallway of his old school. Nene would wave at him, and he would wave back. The first time in his dream, he tried to walk towards her, and she waited. However, he could never reach her because the distance between the two grew every step he took. Since it was just a dream, he wouldn't let himself be bothered by it; until it kept happening.
