HANAKO'S POV:

The plan was simple. Place candy down onto the floor leading into the student council room,then get Kou to make a lightning cage around Mirai so she can't escape. I sat in a box with 4 Mokke in my hands as they squirmed around,Mirai hopped into the room with a giggle and landed right in front of the podium where Kou was behind. She picked up the candy as the lightning cage activated around her"what is this?" She asked looking at the beams"you fell for it!" Yashiro exclaims removing the box from on top of her"we finally caught you!" She exclaims walking over towards the cage. "The plan was something I used on my hamster! The hardest part was keeping the Mokke at bay..."

"Wow I can't believe your plan actually worked." I admit"and I also can't believe-"I dropped the Mokke and looked to see Kou on top of the podium"that future kiddo learns a skill like this." I was impressed honestly. "I can't keep it up as long as Teru-nii,but I got you covered!" He smiles as Akane activates his time freezing ability. "Woah,awesome!" Comments Kou"that's his clock keepers ability. It seems like he's only stopping time for the lightning cage." I admit"exactly! This pathetic cage wasn't going to last more than ten seconds. Now it can last five minutes." Akane admits with a smile"th-thank you v-very much..."Kou stutters whilst sulking. "Surrender yourself now,Mirai." Akane growls as the girl hums in disappointment"aw,you're gonna capture Mirai,huh?" Akane walks over and grabs the girl"that's right. With your powers over the future,you know how this will end. So be a good girl a-"

"Ok! Just one more time!" She then jumps out of Akane's grip and jumps onto Yashiro. "I'll make this girl look hotter!" She exclaims as I call out to Yashiro,as I knew what would happen next. Yashiro fell towards the floor as I ran over to her"Yashiro!" I pull her into me,her once warm body was now fading into a icy cold. "She hasn't changed...?" Kou asks"I can't move her time forward honorable number seven. That is because,she has no time left."

"No time le-...what do you mean?!" Kou yells"it means what it sounds like,young man." A older man in a cloak appeared,no doubt to be the last clock keeper seeing as he turned Kou back to normal. "I'm back?!" Akane sighs clearly annoyed"took you long enough Kako. We wouldn't have had to deal with any of this if you showed yourself from the start." He chuckles"I am never late as I only need to turn back time."

"Wait so you call him 'Kako' because it means past...? So he's able to reverse time." Akane rolls his eyes"who cares what a supernaturals name is." He then looks to Yashiro and I"isn't there something you should be more concerned about kohai?" I pulled Yashiro closer to me,her body now a icy cold. "So what happened to senpai? Explain it Hanako!"

I opened my mouth to speak though barely anything came out that was above a whisper. "I told you to not let her to get touched by Mirai. I told you to be careful..."I say looking at him as his eyes widen in understanding the situation. "But..."I lowered my head"it's not like I managed to stop her either. So I can't blame you..."I trailed off as I placed her against the wall soon standing up. I took a breath in and turned around with a fake smile"it's simple!" I pointed to Mirai"she tried to move Yashiro's time forward but had no time to be moved forward. Yashiro is going to die within a year."

"Wait how do you know that?! How long have you known?!" I smiled once more"since the beginning. Just so you know,it's not because our fates are tied or anything. It has always been her destiny. Only people who are close to the far shore are able to summon me or someone with a sixth scent. Yashiro was close to the far shore since she will die."I explain"y-you can't say that...you're acting like it's nothing." I tilted my head slightly"how am I supposed to act? 'You're gonna die soon but live life to the fullest until then,ok!' Is that...what I should've done?"

I finally know what Y/N was feeling when we first became tied. She knew I was going to die before anyone else yet kept it a secret so that I would continue to go on with my daily life. Who knew I would also be doing the same thing? "I don't know what you think of me but I'm already dead." I walked over to him"so if someone is going to live or die-"I crouched down beside him"it makes no difference to me."

Kou then grabs my collar and lifts me into the air. "I'LL MAKE YOU PAY IF YOU REALLY MEAN THAT!"

"Kohai!" Akane warns as the blonde looks to him"that's just how supernaturals are,they don't care. They're different from us." But I really do care! "But I was being considerate in my own way,right?" I smile as it fades and I look to the floor"I've done what I could to make Yashiro enjoy the time she has left. That's what I've been doing and what I plan to keep doing." I then teleported out of Kou's grip and grabbed his staff before he could notice. "Ok?" I smile showing him his staff,teasingly. "Huh?! Hey! Give that back!" I place it down a little so that Kou trips over it,I grab his arm and pin him to the floor. "Clock keepers!" I start"turn the school's time back. To before Mirai ran away-to this morning." I demand"well it was one of our own who caused this mess...and it's been a while since I've moved time so much." Kako hums as a clock appears above the school.

"This sound..."

"Gramps is turning back time! But it's to bad...it'll be like none of this ever happened." Mirai frowns"wait then does that mean my memories-"I then speak up so Kou can't finish"everything you learned will be wiped from your memories!" I exclaim"isn't that nice?" He gives a confused look"what do you-"I speak up"I mean what you learned about Yashiro." His eyes widen"hey! Don't give me that stuff! Cut it out!" My smile fades"there's nothing you can do about it kid. Yashiro's life span was set from the day she was born. There are things in this world that must not be changed...you know that don't you? It's just like that boy." I tell him"there is nothing you can do. So forget all about it. It's better for Yashiro this way. Let's just keep having fun."

Kou then gets up as I fall off him and onto the ground. "Shut up! Why would I care about this stuff?!" He yells"all that stuff about 'that's how the world works','there's nothing you can do'...that's got nothing to do with it! If senpai is going to die then I'll save her!" He stands up and goes over to Yashiro"I'll do it this time! That's it!" I stand up and grab his staff"I won't give up! I'm not just going to stand here and forget all of it!" I stared at him for a moment before lowering my head"'I won't give up',huh? You can say whatever you want." I growl as Akane speaks up whilst walking over towards us.

"Mind if I but in?" Akane grabs me and throws me onto the ground soon cheering and laughing at my pain. "I don't believe grit can solve every problem." He says clapping the dust off his white gloves"but you can't say that anything's impossible until you've tried. At the very least,if you stop trying you'll never get a chance for your dreams to come true."

"Akane senpai..."

"Isn't that right Aoi?!"

"'Aoi'...?"

Akane turns around with his pocket watch out,it dangles over top of Kou's head. "From the day I accepted this watch I have only used it for Aoi. And I have intended to use it only for her. However,I will make an acceptance for you. While time is being turned back,I'll stop your time so you won't be affected."

"Senpai...but why?" Kou questions"because I think you owe me one. President Minamoto will have to stop being so-*ahem*sorry let me try that again-because are both trying to accomplish the impossible. Your goal is to save Yashiro and my goal is to date Aoi!" His cheerful manner then faded"and if you're able to save Yashiro,then I think I'm able to date Aoi..."his cheerful manner then returns"where there's a will,there's a way! Let's both do our best!" He exclaims with a thumbs up. "Uh...y-yes sir!"

"Well I suppose it's time to set things back to how they were." Kako says as I look towards the ground"I'm counting on you kid..."I mutter as Mirai speaks up"oh that reminds me honorable number seven!" I looked to her"about the other ghost girl,Mirai wants me to tell you that in space and time you'll eventually feel your heart crack open." I gave her a confused look as time was then set back to this morning.
